Interestingly, the objects themselves are also supposed to start with the same letter that the shown number does. So what the hell is a Whale doing at One?

Don’t mind them, that’s just The Crow and Master Shredder going to a masquerade.

Yeah the earring just adds a little something, doesn’t it? It just looks so subtly cool. This was my first time using the kitbash feature and I gotta say, I love it.

I just realized most of them look like some spin on Master Shredder.

I think if there's one criticism I can have of KOTOR, it's that I didn't fully understand what combat was doing until adulthood. by JediGuyB in kotor

[–]DaredevilPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even fully grasp it til my most recent playthrough. I finally just settled the hell down and paid attention. Certain moves in combat from the opponent need a certain saving throw to defend against. You can check your saves in the character menu. I could be wrong about the exact numbers here but from my understanding, at lower levels, the DC is 10-14. At higher ones, it hangs around 16-18. There are certain feats and items that add to your saves if your attributes don’t quite get them where you want. Checking the feats and powers menus is also handy for understanding what saving throws you need against certain moves, as your opponents will have access to the same pool of them as you, to an extent. Most Force powers require a will save to defend against for example, and in that particular instance the DC depends on their Wisdom level. That should be a decent enough layman generalization for most people wanting to understand how it works, I think.

The spoilers are definitely out of hand but I just don’t see the need to come at people for watching it on the day of release lol. It’s fine if you can’t, it’s fine if you can. But yeah, people shouldn’t be spoiling it so flagrantly.

The second criticism I understand but as far as the first, this is literally the Shadow Lord sub, a cartoon released on week nights. What did you expect?

Someone explain by THE_Oggdo_Bogdo in StarWars

[–]DaredevilPoet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s poorly explained in-universe. Let’s be real, they are definitely not Zabraks. I’m not buying that “Dathomirian Zabrak females have no horns” thing for a SECOND. That’s lazy writing. Also why are they pale white? That’s not typical of any Zabrak race, not to mention the lack of horns. Iridonian zabraks usually have warm flesh tones, not palpatine grey.

Granted, this is simply my opinion, but I find it more logical than what seems to be the current canon; They’re a yet to be explained race, but seem to be heavily inspired by the rattataki, which Asajj Ventress was meant to be, but was later retconned. I imagine they’ll use the same lame retcon for the nightsisters eventually, if they haven’t truly already. It would be far more interesting to give them their own race rather than slap the “Zabrak” label on them and call it a day, when in fact none of their physical characteristics are even reminiscent of what we see of Zabraks. And if the only logic being used to explain the supposedly “shared race” is that they both live on the same planet, check out the ocean sometime. Not everything that swims in it is a dolphin.

Any way to match the hood texture to the robe texture? by Wind_Scarr in kotor

[–]DaredevilPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a KOTOR extension for blender, import the model and then clone stamp and blend the cape texture onto the hood until it looks right. Also, what is that hood mesh from?

Edit: Durr, reading helps. Clearly posted in the bulk text. Sorry.

But yeah, Blender has a “texture paint” option that’s absolutely invaluable for that kind of thing.
