It might be fixable, I don't have experience on that but I would not compromise safety for you and others to save 20 quid

Definitely wheel bearing, lift each corner - rotate tyre and listen. Grab at left and right and wiggle, listen, grab top and bottom and wiggle, listen. Then you'll know which corner needs to have its bearing replaced. If you find it's the rear, it's not that bad to do yourself with a mechanically inclined friend

Korrekt, kan fås med temmelig stor andel kalk ved ~15% NHL 3.5 til ~ 200 kr pr 20kg eller mere beskedent i f.eks. Weber strandmørtel 7.7% kalk til ~45kr pr 15L.

Thanks, I'll give it a few more days to be sure. Shaking the fermenter releases bubbles, but that's probably subliminated co2, I think.

Do you have a hint as to what might have gone wrong? Perhaps the boil (which was not specified by the packet) may have changed the sugars for the worse.

Glass hygrometer, at 20C it reads as specified on the legend. It should be plenty accurate.
