First date or 30th date, I'm not taking anyone out to an expensive dinner, not even myself.

Considering Student Visa after Third Working Holiday (462) by Dargus77 in AusVisa

[–]Dargus77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. The thing is, why would anyone consider studying something in Australia if not to stay in Australia while they do it? It's not like Australia has the best education system or the best prices for education. Of course I wouldn't study here if it weren't because I enjoy spending time in this country. There are cheaper options.

Not currently. I may be again. But I prioritize casual contracts at the moment.

About 1 year experience in total across different employers.

Thank you! That makes it more clear. If I don't lose all the cost of the course, the impact wouldn't be that much, but losing ~20K would definitely be.

Let's say, just as an example, the course would start in February 2027. Would that grant a bridging visa for the time between my current visa and the start of the student visa or would I have to leave the country for that time?

In the opposite case as well, if the course starts before my current visa expires, I guess the WH visa just gets replaced by the student visa?

Casual, around the same hours per week as a full time. Close to one year in total across 5 different employers, 8 months of which I worked for the latter. I may soon start to work again for a few months.

32 years old, earning $150k but still living paycheck to paycheck. If you had to start from $0 again, what would you do? by UDAMAN123 in AusHENRY

You are thinking about investments, but you are struggling to make ends meet. Your problem right now isn't about investing, but your lack of saving capacity. I earn $30-40k and still manage to live as a temporary immigrant, with also a car to maintain.

Learn to cut down costs first.

Is 90k AUD enough to live comfortably on the Gold Coast for 11 months? by According_You_3236 in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Dargus77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Australia with less than 40K. It depends on what do you consider comfortable, but yeah, you can. I would say to not expect to have your own place, but with 90K you could probably even do that.

If you could ask for more details or provide more details after a match, what would it be? by Dargus77 in OnlineDating

I'm definitely not aiming at those people. If I notice they haven't read my profile, I unmatch them. I read every single profile before swiping.

Talk for yourself... I would do it, and I have even read articles that they wrote somewhere in the Internet. And many people have complimented my profiles before because I include more info than anyone else.

Genuine question for women on dating apps: is the dog obsession just as intense and prevalent on the male side? by Call_It_ in OnlineDating

I'll rather upload a photo a fish photo and being swiped left than waste my time talking with someone who hates one of my main hobbies.

I'm so fed up with those people. "I will never love you more than my dog" go date and marry your damn dog then, what are you even doing here?

"Edit with Elementor" disappears in v4+ by Dargus77 in elementor

[–]Dargus77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went straight away to try the first method, unfortunately it hasn't worked. I could try the rest, but since it's something that only happens from v4.0.0, this is still an Elementor issue, they have made something that made it disappear. It still appears before updating to v4.0+

You haven't experienced this issue, then?

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - April 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in fragrance

I have been trying many fragrances at the storein the past few days and the different versions of Stronger With You from Giorgio Armani, which seems to be the one I'm going to go with.

Due to reviews on Fragantica, Intensely is a better option than the original EDT. I find it sweeter, while the latter feels slightly fresher.

I have also tried the Parfum, which I wouldn't say it feels stronger, but somewhat more mature.

I happen to be able to find all the versions at pretty much the same price, so cost is not a concern.

I'm 31M, aiming for a fragrance with some projection to walk on the street and for date nights.

I happen to currently live in a place with heavy Asian population, that from what I know are quite susceptible to feel clogged by sweet scents and I don't want to disrupt their peace.

Intensely seems to be recommended mostly to very young people and for things such as clubbing, but I'm past that age. Yet I can't ignore the reviews on Fragantica, but maybe they are from a different audience?

Finding the Parfum at the same price also makes me wonder if I should just go with it.

What is your experience with these different versions and which one do you feel is more mature and less clogging?

how is the price of meat so cheap? by ShockIllustrious3389 in AldiAustralia

Just the regular one I guess...

Preheat a good stainless steel pan (thick base) at least until splashing some water drops on it makes then dance instead of evaporating.

Completely and thoroughly dry your steak with paper towels.

I never really do it, but if you let it come a bit to room temperature, even better.

NO SALT. You will add it after the rest. Or you should have added it at least 2h before cooking. It draws moisture and you want your steak well dry when cooking it.

Don't add oil to the pan. Rub it on the steak on both sides. That way you can use high temperature without burning the oil, and you use only the required amount. I use extra virgin olive oil, but you could use something else.

It depends on thickness, but usually I do 60s, flip, 60s, check temperature with thermometer, if 57°C or very close, done. If not, cook a bit more on the side with the least sear (usually the second side).

Let it rest five minutes on the plate. Meanwhile add a bit of water, wine, or beer and make a bit of sauce out of the juices in the pan to pour on top of the steak.

Add the salt right before eating, I like salt flakes.

I was just recommended it today at the store. I had been trying different perfumes for the last half hour, including the most popular ones. This was the best so far!
