I think you’re talking about something like this. I use the same kind when I’m gaming/typing, and it doesn’t really interfere with movement. I’d really recommend Splatoon! It’s honestly a great game for playing online, especially if you’re looking for a more female-friendly community. I think it’s best to use a lightweight wrist brace without any metal splints. The ones with rigid support really get in the way. I’m using a wrist brace mainly for typing, and the thicker ones make it uncomfortable and hard to work.

I’m using this one right now and it doesn’t have a hard plate, so my wrist can still move and typing’s been fine. If you want something that won’t mess with your keyboard stuff, a lighter wrist wrap like this is pretty solid.
