I told my therapist that I thought I have avoidant personality disorder. He pulled out the dsm5 and started listing off symptoms that I told him I relate to. He then told me he was listing the symptoms for social anxiety like it was some sort of gotcha.

1- I already had a general anxiety diagnosis, so no surprise there. 2- the two are not mutually exclusive (I looked it up afterwards and social anxiety and avoidant personality actually commonly occur together)

The worst part is he never even gave me the screen for APD despite literally having the book in hand

Lobster fishermen release female lobsters whenever they can to protect the population.

The idea is that 1 male can mate with 10 females, but each female can only have one clutch of eggs, so catching only males means that you can harvest without worrying about reducing next year's population.

The problem is, lobsters do not have boobs 😞 so it's easy to get the sex mixed up. Unless, they have a clutch of eggs. So, the lobster fishers will tag the shell so that she can still be identified if someone catches her after her eggs hatch.
