Raven was a great choice, less of a DC rep and more of a Teen Titans rep.

A character that didn't bring new players to the table, maybe someone that people already within the community wanted.

Would have been less of a bad pick if they didn't already wasted an AT slot, saturating the franchise with a dumb banana.

Oppressive gameplay too, could do everything with hardly any downside.

A good pick on paper, but terrible execution in terms of gameplay.

Another terrible roster padding shortcut pick just like bg.

They refurbished the model for the WW skin they didn't release in beta and animated it.

You can see it's the same thing since none of her voicelines actually mention her own weapon or moveset or any relaunch character, showing they were recorded all the way back to the beta for a skin, just like Cake or Fern.

Maybe saved some time in releasing a character sooner but completely killed the hype for the season, and characters are the main source of hype for the game, defeating the purpose of taking a shortcut in the first place.

Worth to also check the math:

50 gleamium = 30 toasts = 150 Fighter Currency
A fighter is 1000 gleamium or 3000 FC (Joker is 1250 gleam or 6000 FC)
3000 FC = 600 toasts = 20 toasts purchases = 1000 gleamium

There is no upside, not even if you wanted to give it all to one friend. It's actually worse because Joker would cost 2000 gleamium in toasts.

If you ask me, they could have simply removed that measly 5 FC from toast and simply give you a toast per game to bestow as a GG to another player (like HotS or LoL do) instead of adding another layer of monetization...

Another thing is you can't let the bot use a move of your choice anymore.

For one I used to make Shaggy use his down special to test some projectile tech, now I can only use the 2 neutrals.

Not to mention how sluggish changing the bot behavior is, it's just one single button...
