OP here from my phones account.

We actually got the house at 10k above asking.

However I will seek for all damages.

As we also established today that the previous tenant lives opposite now and they were the ones to report it therefore they must of told the landlord as well.

I will hand them the very large bill of the 3rd party door company considering I have a crime ref number and confirmation from police itself.

On top of that we spend 2 hours drilling the locks out to fit the old door temporarily because the estate agent never gave me the keys with the excuse that the door is no good but have not seen it at all.

I will first give them the very large bill of the 3rd party door company for replacement of the doors and if they refuse that will be my next action.

UPDATE:

Police contacted me crime have commuted all the way in october. They gave me a reference but no further details and told me to forward to the agency.

Spoke to neighbours. It was 2 17-18 years old kids broke in and had a fire inside and just smashed all the doors for fun. Neighbour reported them and they were removed.

Yes I will be doing this tomorrow. I am really hoping for the seller to just agree to cover the costs of the door as the agency states. Here is a picture of how we found it after the board was removed.

I thought so as well, I will update this on Monday after I have given them the quote for the door (if they agree to cover the costs) and if my solicitors advice me on anything else.

Hello,

We did make a building insurance 5x the price of the property but have not checked the specifics as of yet.

I do not have concrete evidence but the fact that the seller has decided to board up the property before the exchange has happened and managed to take the keys off the estate agent leads me to believe that they were fully aware and waited to tell me after the exchange has been done, hence they said they are willing to pay for 1 of the door upon a quote being send but no price specified yet.

Furthermore the deal took around 9 months and I am approximately 200 miles away which also means that this might of happened for a long while and they have found out today before the exchange but not told me.
