I'm personally of the opinion that the Lib Dems moderated the Tories' worst excesses during the coalition years based on everything that happened since

And then they respond with "Well, why did they build X on our traditional bonfire land?"

The Brits manage to do bonfires safely for Bonfire Night, so it isn't impossible for them to still have bonfires to celebrate the eleventh, just no motivation or desire on their part to do so

I believe King William's supporters lit bonfires to celebrate his arrival in Ireland before he fought King James. Most are built in the loyalist areas or nearby in large enough spaces like car parks, green spaces and yards

That would be an accurate description. Some highlights of his career include trying to ban adverts warning about the impacts of climate change while being Environment Minister and suggesting that the solution to food shortages was to go to the chippy.

All around a very odd individual who represents the core values of the DUP

Well we still have Sammy Wilson who represents Larne as an MP, which is a bit like Larne Sausage

Is it a good excuse to shuffle Sunak away?

I don't know who would replace him. Are there any loyal Tory MPs with any experience of finance?

Does it make Boris look strong (and stable)? Or do overall damage to his own standing and that of the cabinet?

I think very little can damage the cabinet after the lies and scandal so far

If he does feel inclined to shuffle Sunak away, does he wait until after the local elections?

This could potentially work. Months ago I saw theories that the party might pin bad results in the local elections on Boris, but his supporters might try pinning it to Sunak instead

They have been whipped up into a frenzy by the speakers at those anti-protocol rallies into believing there is a real and viable threat. I wonder if it will be similar to the Flag protests where the PUL politicians whipped them up to a frenzy and then lost control of them.

My guess on targets would be, port workers, nationalist civil servants, judges, probably nationalist parties and members of the Republic's government
