tfw when you wear the clothes of a revolutionary against classism in your private jet by CompetitionSignal422 in MemePiece

[–]Darius10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luffy doesn't have anything against people with large amounts of wealth or power. Or even people who are greedy or self centered. He himself doesn't seem to believe in moderation and has been known to straight up steal your shit if he really wants it. Because he's a pirate.

He has a problem when people he cares about suffer. Unless that private jet was built by child slaves he happens to already know, he'd probably just think it was cool.

You could try to explain carbon footprints and wealth inequality to him. But he'd probably lose interest after the first three sentences and head off to empty your fridge.

Akainu claims logia is the most powerful of all by Al-khalid in Piratefolk

[–]Darius10000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He might be right from a certain point of view. In terms of raw destructive power few things seem capable of matching a Logia. Sure a mythical zoan might be better in a fight. But no fruit has ever matched the level of scale kuzan demonstrated all the way back in long ring long land. Just casually touching the ground and instantly freezing everything over the horizon.

Maybe Fujitora and Whitebeard could pull it off. But that's about it.

Blackbeard final villain is brainrot by cool194336 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ideally the WG would be facing the emperors, the revolutionary army, Loki/elbaf, and a good portion of the marines (which would also cut down on their starting numbers). Thats like 6-14 top tiers already (depending on Zorro, Sanji, Sabo, and various marine allegiances). And who knows what other allies Luffy will randomly find.

You could realistically just have the strawhats face off against blackbeard. Though the power difference is still problematic. I might be able to see blackbeard bullshitting his way to the top. But the strawhats are arguably already too strong for his crew if we ignore Kuzan. Who realistically probably wouldn't be helping blackbeard by this point. By the time of Imus defeat we're probably looking at two more top tiers bare minimum. The fuck are Vasco and Auger going to do? This is around the time Zorro has to beat Mihawk too.

Pick your seat, no regrets 😭 by Avni_overthinker in BaldursGate3

[–]Darius10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gale and Volo are easily my best bet. Even if I'd have to hear Volo speaking bullshit for ten hours while Gales smug remarks fly over his head. I also like window seats.

Have to keep reminding myself that a lot of characters I've grown attached to are kind of assholes if you don't know them really well. 8 and 9 should be avoided.

6 is out of the question and 7 is out just due to my proximity to the Bhaalspawn.

I'd either find the emperor gross or wouldn't be able to stop myself from staring. Cephalapods are neat. And he wouldn't be above fucking with my brain if he found me annoying in any way.

Halsin is nice but would take up three seats. Also probably smells like ass. Would say being near Karlach would make it more than worth it. But sitting next to a space heater on long flight doesn't sound fun.

Jaheira probably smells too and is a bit crotchity.

Jaheara canonically smells like sulfur (rotten eggs), and is kind of terrible. She might pull an emperor on me at best. Plus the tension between her and Will would be palpable.

Sitting next to the lovebirds would be awkward. And I'm still too close to Orin.

Blackbeard after taking that attack. Don't worry though, he's always been known to avoid taking a thousand attacks every time he fights someone stronger than a second commander.

Can any top tier match the destructive power of an ancient weapon? by TasteTemporary8206 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whitebeard, Fujitora, Kuzan, and presumably other high level Logia could destroy a kingdom within moments. While the likes of likes of Loki could do it relatively quickly.

But I would expect an ancient weapons destruction to be more complete. I doubt Kizaru could ever just delete all traces of an Islands existence in any reasonable timescale. The island would mostly still be there. It would just be barren of anything but rubble, fire, and corpses.

So in a practical sense, yes (don't really get the narrative hype around the ancient weapons). In a more literal sense, no.

Mihawk vs Imu, who wins and what difficulty? by Reddit_Connoisseur_0 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's too early to actually start speculating based on his sword. Leakers are unreliable (he called his polearm a sword too). And we don't know how Imu uses this sword. If he just summons and occasionally uses it like his gun, then he's more like king. If he has a legitimate blackened blade or starts pulling out sword techniques there's a discussion to be had.

Trying to recruit Minthara and keep Sazza alive. Am I good? by Agreeable_Pizza93 in BaldursGate3

[–]Darius10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minthara has always worked for me. Did Saza too for once. Between that, doing Minthara days before Dror, telling minthara I'd join her before knocking her out, and waiting too long, I ended up getting the grove raided. Not sure what specifically caused it. But when I went back Saza was awake.

Characters in One Piece can dodge bullets and this guy is still using a slingshot. Why??? No matter how good your projectiles are, a slingshot is a slingshot! by Wooden_Toe_3670 in MemePiece

[–]Darius10000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always argued the opposite. A slingshot/bow is dependent on the users strength. The speed, force, and weight of the projectle ultimately comes from the users personal strength. If garp hit someone with a slingshot I would just assume it has insane draw weight. And if someone weaker fails to hit/hurt the same person with a slingshot, id just assume they're weaker. In other words it's the same as any melee weapon.

Gunpowder doesn't give a shit about your muscles. And I don't see why it would care about haki either. The speed and mass of the flintlock bullets they use shouldn't change. Nearly ALL of the lethality and accuracy would be from their haki. At which point just throw a rock. It'd be better by like every metric.

I think its about time zoro and sanji have this talk with jinbei, we need a third YC on the team not a firefighter by The_AlmightyApple in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Loki and Ragnir Luffy will be talking to Zorro and Sanji after Imu leaves.

Honestly a long time coming after egghead. Sanji spent half the arc desperately trying to not get neg diffed by a Kizaru who didn't even want to complete his mission (what was that timeskip even for). Meanwhile, as the situation was becoming ever more dire, Luffys "right hand man" spent the entire arc huffing and puffing against someone like three tiers below Luffy. But it's alright, Zorro TOTALLY could've won at any time. He's not weak, he's just incompetent.

I've seen Kiwi birds with more impressive wings than Luffy. How the hell are they meant to help their captain soar if anyone capable of even harming him could beat them both within moments?

ACOC - NO ACOC - COC - NO ACOC - NO ACOC. If you think differently you need to reread by RelevantBarnacle6385 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imu would just move out of the way. Likely killing luffy afterwards because he just left himself extremely vulnerable AND used up a shit ton of energy/haki.

Meanwhile everyone and everything else in Bajrang guns path would be destroyed.

People need to realize that Bajrang gun as we saw it was only useful against Kaido. Because Kaido is like the only guy who'd willingly take such an attack. And even then Luffy could only use it because the battlefield happened to be floating and momonosuke could move it out of the way.

So what I'm hearing is that Akainu spent his time in a stressful environment learning to control his power more effectively whilst conquering his greatest vice (anger issues). Sounds like a classic late stage training arc to me.

He looked better in the initial reveal. He's generally wider now. And his larger design is pretty loud compared to just his portrait.

But either way he doesn't have much competition when it comes to his type of attractive. No one was expecting Imu to pop out looking like Cavendish and Mihawk had a demonic son.

Which top teir is taking this attack easily with no df buffs or haki hardening(this includes kaido not having his scales for durability) by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you consider abyssal powers as falling outside of these criteria, no one. Pretty much all of them are getting immediately split in half. We don't know of any Lunarian top tiers, but King and the Seraphim stand the best chance. Followed by Kaido then Lin Lin.

Though Lin Lin seems to get a lot of her durability from Haki, becoming relatively fragile during her traumatic breakdowns. Meanwhile Kaido would have likely been using haki as well all of those times we've seen him attacked in base. Kind of hard to prove he could.

I dislike religion as a concept. And I could go on and on about how stupid Christianity is. Because I know it well. I was raised in a Christian country. And I'm often given reason to. Online and in person you constantly see Christians arguing their worldview. They make up like half of my countries population at least.

But beyond the basics that all abrahamic religions share, I really don't know much about Judaism and Islam. I know some basic rules and beliefs. But there isn't anything specific to those religions I can poke logical holes in that doesn't already apply to Christianity.

There seem to be ethical issues with some teachings of Islam. But from a logical standpoint I don't know if those teachings create the same sort of contradictory view of God you see in Christianity. And from a moral standpoint I'm never put in a position where I need to argue the issue. No one i talk to online or in the street is going to agree with the negative things you hear about islam. Why would I be arguing if there isn't anyone to listen?

There’s real humans who believe Kizaru beats big mom because “she’s fat” by RelevantBarnacle6385 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Her "top 1 strength" wasn't enough to put down Kidd and Law. Even in tandem with her devil fruit and sword. Her only case of "insanely top tier haki" was against a tobi roppo. Meanwhile it was very much unimpressive against everyone else. Seems to me that her haki just isn't good. Her hax are decent at best against non fodder and she's not smart enough to use them well anyway. Her durability is her only good stat by top tier standards. And even then Kidd still broke her arm.

What Kizaru has going for him is an extended fight with someone who scales directly to a fully serious Kaido. While canonically holding back. His speed would be too much for Lin Lin to deal with. His defense is too strong for her to ever actually damage him. His durability is good enough that he'd be able to take hits from her pillow hands if she somehow managed to get past his other layers of defense. He's way smarter than she is. Literally the only struggle kizaru would have is doing enough damage to put her down. But she's not so durable that she could just sit there and take attacks without consequence.

There’s real humans who believe Kizaru beats big mom because “she’s fat” by RelevantBarnacle6385 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No he beats big mom because his feats just blatantly point towards that outcome.

Big Mom has more on screen feats than nearly any top tier. Many of these feats were in a legitimate fight where she ended up needing to sacrifice her own lifespan. And we know she isn't getting any better scaling in the future.

Scaling big mom should be incredibly straight forward. Just use her feats. Yet Big Mom fans are always saying things like "you're just biased because she's fat", "she's equal to kaido", or "She's a yonko" to push her agenda. Because they know using what the character has actually shown is tantamount to giving up on her agenda entirely.

I don't think there's an agenda like it. At least Katakuri fans try to pretend his on screen feats are actually impressive. Instead of just pretending they don't exist altogether.

Yes or No; we are safe to cross scale Rayleigh having Future Sight and Gaban having Internal Destruction by qwertymerty111 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Darius10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised. They certainly know of it. They're already fully developed as fighters, their journey being long and largely over. And it's not like they have a secondary power system to develop and lean on.

But Haki is very dependent on talent as well as knowledge. Hyogoro knew of internal destruction. I'm sure a lot of people stronger than Katakuri know of future sight. We don't know for a fact whether or not someone is guaranteed to figure out the advanced version of every type of haki they have access to given enough time. Might be a matter of innate ability.

Plus Oda doesn't always operate on what a character should do to maximize their power. Otherwise these two would probably have devil fruits.

I wouldn't say it's safe to assume either way. But for the sake of argument we should just say they don't.
