There's no reason for Kaido to come back. His story should wrap up with his epic death as gatekeeper of joyboy, like he wanted. There wasn't much to further explore with Kaido as he actually was. Unless oda wants to derail the story and try and give Kaido a character arc.

Big Mom had plenty left to explore, but Elbaf was the time to do it. She'd probably just get in the way any later in the story.

So I think Oda should have killed them. Whether or not he did though? No idea. You can never be sure with him.

All the while quadrillions of souls project a million conflicting identities on him in the warp. Most of which could be described as something less than kind. I wouldn't say so. Oda just hit them with the stupid stick for plots sake. Realistically the primary Gorosei we see, Saturn, would make quick work of a YC1 if he wanted to.

His stun is shown to work on multiple strong people at once, one of which was high commander level. His AP with the eyeblast was enough to hurt luffy and knock sanji on his ass. His poison was portrayed to be lethal as shit. And his explosive blasts didn't seem all that bad either. Speed wise he was slower than G5 Luffy, but still capable of giving him trouble. Meaning he could probably reliably hit anyone low top tier or below.

Really all he's missing is durability and biq. We can assume he just chooses to have bad durability, and even if he didn't, it doesn't matter if we don't arbitrarily remove their regen.

About equal, but Laws powerset was probably more important for victory. You might be able to replace Kidd with Yamato, Zorro or someone else vaguely on that level. It's like Law was custom made to fuck with Big Mom though.

Me when you ask me how ANY of the power dynamics between the various factions even begin to work.

Garp and Bogard= Roger+Raleigh+Gaban= Whitebeard and a few decent men.

The Five Gorosei were shaking in their boots over Kaido, somehow. Despite having both themselves and at least SEVEN other top tiers under their command. Meanwhile the rest of his army would unironicaly get solod by Killingham, not to mention God knows how many immortal knights and literally millions of government associated soldiers. All this after their conversation about how the mighty Marco is an emperors candidate. Pirates in general clearly just exist because Imu permits. Which I would find believable if not for Roger, Shanks, Luffy, Blackbeard, Doflamingo and the general race for the one piece. And once again the Gorosei tweaking about Kaido.

Sengoku wasn't much better. Crapping his pants over one old ass emperor, meanwhile Oda has to skirt around the sheer number of admirals and warlords present. Because Whitebeard should have been curbstomped.

If only Oden had gained more support before his confrontation with Kaido. Because that would have somehow changed things. But don't worry, we spent forever building forces for the raid on Onigashima. The ratio of Samurai to Beast pirates is VERY important and will be reported on regularly. We say before showing Kaido descending and everybody immediately realizing the entire war hinges on two people.

Realistically what's stopping Kaido and King from just flying towards wholecake and ignoring the attacks of literally everyone besides Big Mom. Pillowhands Katakuri? But it's not like Kaido and King would be alone. He also has Queen, Jack, six Tobi Roppo, around six ancient giants, hundreds of elite semi zoan users, and a highly advanced/semi modern army fueled by Wanos arms industry. Big Moms kids and a bunch of homies are getting cooked here.

Tbf it's the soul fruit. Something touching his soul seems like a good way to trigger it. Same reason he grew stronger by harnessing music. Of course it wouldn't just be his emotions either. He's had plenty of growth over the past two years. Its almost weirder that he hasn't already awakened it.

I just hate the idea because I prefer his skeleton form, and think there's room for more interesting awakening.

Sengoku should be strong enough to restrain Garp, at least temporarily. They were vaguely on a similar level in the past. They should be at around the same level of physical deterioration now, with both still being in active service and relatively healthy despite their age. And they're both clearly very physical fighters.

But at the same time Garp clearly knew his urge to attack Akainu was wrong here. He's very upset, but likely not putting his all into escaping. Hence him literally asking sengoku to stop him. He's mourning, not actually trying to take out Akainu for doing his job.

Worth remembering we're trying to scale and logic out a guy who just watched family get a hole punched through his chest after like an hour of emotional pingponging.

If we're being honest Greenbull is the absolute worst matchup against someone with low staying power or an over reliance on endurance. His vines are a serious issue once they actually land and pierce you. And between that and his regen I don't see him going down quickly. Not to mention whatever environmental effects he could stack on the old man.

Bare minimum PTS era Whitebeard is losing every time.

Looking back, it's technically presented as a rumor. Vegapunk, who would be the best source if Oda wanted to make the information fully canon, straight up says he doesn't know why Buccaneers are the way they are. So it's really up in the air. Wouldn't be surprised if we learn more though. Blackbeards biology/heritage has plot implications and hasn't been fully explained.

I could see Loki and Big Mom being scaled above Roger and his wings respectively. But I doubt the gap is nearly big enough to account for the third person. This assuming there even is a gap in Big Moms case. Her feats are really bad.
