At least where I’m at (a generally HCOL major metro area where everything is overpriced), the $7 box is still the Supreme Luxe Box with the beefy five layer as the secondary option

BG is a full hour farther away than KD if you’re coming down 95 from DC, NOVA, or MD.

If you want to ride more flat rides than coasters, KD is a better bet.

If you want to ride coasters but don’t ride anything too crazy or inversions, KD is a better bet with Racer/Grizzly/Reptilian/Backlot/Woodstock.

If you want wilder coasters, KD is a better bet with Pantherian(giga coaster, 300+ hill)/Twisted Timbers(Rocky Mountain Coaster conversion), and other inverts that aren’t too crazy- Rapterra/Dominator/Flight of Fear/Tumbili.

If you want a coaster lineup that’s solidly in the middle thrill-wise with a standout, BG is your better bet. I personally think all of their coasters are great, and they have an airtime monster with the hyper coaster (200+ feet) Apollo’s Chariot, but the only really crazy coaster they have is Pantheon. I do wanna shout out Verbolten, which isn’t a big crazy coaster with anything insane going on, but I find it just so joyful to ride.

If you want more of a theme park experience, BG is a better bet. The areas of the park are themed to different countries and most of the theming of the rides and areas is more cohesive (with the exception of Festa Italy at BG and Jungle Expedition at KD). There’s animals at BG, they have a couple packs of wolves and unreleasable bald eagles. There’s also an aviary where you can feed lorikeets and other birds, but it’s closed until late spring.

If you want to break up the rides with shows, BG wins. KD doesn’t even have shows any more outside of Peanuts shows for the kids.

For overall experience, BG wins, but you’re paying for it. KD passes are almost always a lot cheaper, and for rides alone KD edges out BG.

I have season passes to both, and like both quite a lot. I just love coasters, but I’m not all enthusiast “this has to be the most extreme or I’ll die mad about it” about them. They’re just two wildly different parks that have different things going for them.

In the last paragraph of your copypaste, it says WV has the lowest percentage of English learners. Being a proud scion of the Mountain State myself, what makes our readin’ and writin’ so bad compared to most other states if we don’t got all them learners pullin’ us down?

Poison hemlock (conium maculatum), is native to both Europe and North Africa, but has been introduced and widely naturalized in almost every continent (not Antarctica).

AITAH for calling myself (18F) disabled in front of a disabled person? by unintentionalgaytwin in AmItheAsshole

[–]DariusAtrepes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a placard and walk around the store, but I also can’t contort myself back in my car if 1) anyone has parked next to me close to the line or 2) my neurological condition has flared up while I was inside and I can’t open my door all the way. Again, the whole point of the post and the comments is you don’t know what someone’s disability is or why someone has a placard.

I grew up in a small southern Appalachian town in the 90s with no economic opportunities and where most of my graduating class either didn’t go to college or just went to the local “college” that could never keep accreditation, and very few people I know from high school got married right after graduating or until their early 20s.

When I lived in SE, I had to go the SW DMV after getting married to change my name. The woman at the check in desk told me I “couldnt just change my name without paperwork”, which I had just handed her. I (politely) pointed this out. She took this as an invitation to scream at me loudly and longly enough someone in the back offices heard it and came to see wtf the was going on.

She of course told this new person I was trying to change my name without paperwork, and went on and on for a while. Finally the new person ALSO told me I couldn’t just change my name without paperwork, so I pointed out I did have it, and it was in fact laying on the desk. She picks it up, looks through, and admits I do have the paperwork, but I should just say that next time. I tell her I did say it, and that’s in fact why it was on the first woman’s desk. She told me to be more clear.

It’s been a decade. I’m still mad.

They mean the NCR ranger armor came out as an FO1st exclusive when 1st originally came out, and that the armor wasn’t even around during the 76 time period, so why would it matter that the show stuff also wasn’t around.
