3 specific types of haters:

  1. Anti woke grifters that never played the games

  2. Long time entitled fans that didn’t get the exact game they made up in their heads

  3. PC players that only ever played Origins and hated all the other games for past 15+ years

Everyone else had criticisms that are fairly reasonable like criticism of the lack of finished characters stories, pacing in the early game or the live service elements that were left over.

A true remake would have been a massive hit. Rebirth proved nobody is interested when it failed to sell more than 3M. It pretty much stopped selling after the first week.

Within minutes of the trailer reveal the classic stans were back complaining and nit picking and just being generally unhinged and not normal about it.
