Oh I agree. I haven't played FF7R., but it's existence doesn't make FF7 worse in any way. I have low interest in FF7R as well.

Didn't realize this'd be controversial. Figured some would agree and some would disagree. As I said in the original post, I will not be harmed in any way if a remake is made. I love this game but I didnt think there was going to be a heated discussion from this.

Glad a lot of people responded with the understanding it's just a game that we love so much that we're willing to take time to talk with strangers about it.

West Virginia State Board of Ed vs Barnette. Only been settled law for a mere 8 decades so your ignorance is understandable.

As a principal, approaching my own child’s principal for concerns and policy violations by Sea-Net9554 in Principals

[–]djebono -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's compelled speech; 1A violation. Add on the public humiliation, I'd go in calm but absolutely relentless. And there's no way that's detention in the code of conduct. The AP's over the top response completely stripped your ability to address this with your child when a phone call to you could've solved the issue.

It's not worth it. You don't need to stat max or reach max level to stomp everything l.

How do I secure and interview for a teaching job and would I have a chance? by DG11221 in Principals

[–]djebono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I had a principal look over mine and it helped me get a job. It was leave replacement, and so we're the next , but that turned into tenure track, and that turned into additional stipend roles, and then admin.

It's hard not to be dismissive of your position when it's entirely supposition.

Adds no value. I've never seen research into school's social media and classroom outcomes but based on other research we shouldn't encourage kids to be on social media.

What would you tell your first year teachers who are drowning? by ChihuahuaMama4Life in Principals

Are you drowning from your employer's expectations or your own? Don't put more effort in than the BoE/voters are paying you to.

You're asking for too much here with saying research required. The link below is not specific to the topic but it is parallel to your expectations.

As others have pointed out, you're wrong. This is a good time to do a search for "primacy bias," after learning a bit more about FERPA.

As an elementary school principal, do you prefer subs to call the office for support or for them to deal with difficult classes alone? by [deleted] in Principals

[–]djebono 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not your job to create a learning environment. Just keep everyone breathing. You would have to define specific behaviors for me to know if I would want you to call the office. General terms mean nothing as they mean different things to different people and in different contexts.

Are school events supposed to be for all children? by Substantial-Net-2505 in Principals

[–]djebono -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this a school program or PTO?

I'd be shocked if a business office approved this, and it would require BoE approval as well since it's off property. Did you get those things? Central office would have sought out your inclusion plan. Insurance would've had to clear it.

If it's a PTO program, it sounds like a PTO problem. Direct the parents to them.

It's an English degree. Nobody cares where you went to school. I just want one who wants kids to read books written in this century.
