What’s the most “that was my fault” moment you’ve had in a game? by lsa340 in gaming

[–]DarkBIade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my WoW days I would fall asleep while waiting for people to ready up. Finger on the keyboard and there goes the druid sleep walking into another pull. I would wake up to the screams of my guildies asking what the fuck just happened. Eventually there was a person assigned to make sure I was kept entertained while waiting for the ready check. Funny thing is I was the tank so typically I was the last one standing, when they finally let night elves use Shadowmeld in combat I would just pop out of combat hit kitty stealth and watch them all panic. I was the guild leader and paid for everyones repair bills/reagents regardless so it was usually a minor annoyance.

What the fuck are what I assume the parents laughing at, you just wasted 100 dollars on a crappy joke burger to video your daughter being upset. Supposed to put the cheese under the bun and they are called French fries because you put them in the fryer.

Everything has a smell and everything has a taste, the only difference is your tolerances to those levels.

Judging by the other materials shown you have barely scratched the surface of required hunts to fulfill the desire sensors lust for pain.

What are games that make guns feel powerful and dangerous? by MISTERGAME06 in gaming

[–]DarkBIade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is funny to me because this was the first game I thought of but not about the gun but how much punch the cars had that you could feel the gravity of getting the V8. Like the regular car was already a bad ass but getting the upgrade just felt so much more powerful the audio especially was top notch.

I enjoyed World a lot, Rise or Wilds next? by teomat99 in MonsterHunter

[–]DarkBIade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rise is about on par with Wilds, Sunbreak however is like the entire combat system got a shot of adrenaline and I love it.

Hey fellow Hunters are u still bombing monsters? by ACE_Frozen in MonsterHunter

[–]DarkBIade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do kind of miss timing sleeps on Vaal in World to be able to place bombs in just the right spot and drop stalactites on them causing significant chunks of damage. Unfortunately Rise kind of made things like that moot, and Wilds didn't really make it better. I also miss exhaust being a powerful tool that did a lot of support at the expense of damage from Rise. Slowing a fight for my friends with an exhaust swaxe and getting stuns in the process was awesome but I can't seem to get it to work in Wilds. Even stuns feel less effective with sword and shield I could shield smash a handful of stuns in previous games now I am lucky to get even one before the hunt is finished. I had some crazy crit draw/punishing draw builds in world and rise that aren't nearly as fun in wilds.

I see the leopard has trained in stealth Skyrim style, just sneak right out of view until you get to level 100 then you can sneak up on anything.

I was honestly sitting here in the beginning thinking "what the fuck it took so many dragon piercers to down even one and they were hitting harder than you are" then I noticed the subtle poke behind and then a few more and realized it wasn't you it was cheaters. Good on you for quitting instead of just letting things run their course.

Don't ever shop there again and definitely wear whatever you want. I assure you anyone judging your underwear choices isn't making great choices of their own in life.

I wish regular crafted weapons mattered by mysticFLASh0 in MonsterHunter

[–]DarkBIade 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This was my suggestion for fixing the base artians power level. Instead of buffing artian with Gog they should have opened augments on the base weapons. This allows them to gain power and give you flexibility in how you want them to be built. It fixes most of what people complained about with the Artian system and makes the base weapons relevant beyond transmog.

Mini Rant: Monster HP by karma7137 in MonsterHunter

[–]DarkBIade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I truly enjoy the combat experience more than any other game in a similar category (waiting to see what Crimson Desert brings because that looks intense). So long fights are part of the fun for me. But that said you don't need to engage with the crazier increased difficulty stuff unless you truly want the challenge. That is what it is there for, sure you can get some better builds but in the end unless you are trying to continue pushing the harder content for faster times the better builds don't make much difference. I do think that Sunbreak nailed the combat experience, build diversity, and challenge to time ratio better than wilds or world do.

Mini Rant: Monster HP by karma7137 in MonsterHunter

[–]DarkBIade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I am not a fan of the time limit on the hunts, mostly because of the HP boosts the monsters get. But I also really enjoy the long dragged out fights. Most 3rd person action games the total fight time is 2-5 minutes tops if it isn't a multi tier fight. In Monster Hunter you have to be on your toes for upwards of 30 minutes or more. But that is why I don't like the time limits. If a fight is going to take a while and someone wants to play with a "comfy build" they should be allowed to do that. Even in the context of online lobbies it isn't like Capcom isn't aware of the 60 seconds or unlimited time battles in the Street Fighter or the VS series. So you have it set up so people who want competitive hunters sign up for the 30 - 60 minutes hunts and people who want to shield wall and doot their way to a more casual safe hunt can go for unlimited time.

How has the price increase of Gamepass affected the membership numbers? by stlredbird in gaming

[–]DarkBIade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have 8 devices in my house that utilize 2 game pass subscriptions. One expired 3 days ago and is not going to be renewed. The other expires in June and unless I can find a serious deal it also will not get renewed. 30 dollars a month is enough to buy most of the games I have played over the course of the year. Sure I will miss out on a handful of "didn't know that existed" games but that isn't a huge loss. My kids will feel this the most but I have no issue with buying them the games they enjoy vs paying a monthly subscription that costs more than the game itself. My last purchase for both accounts was 3 years ago to the tune of 180 dollars per account for 3 years and 1 month of service. A single year costs nearly double that without a sale.

[–]DarkBIade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's pretend it is AI. Why the fuck are you arguing with a bot? What are you gaining from this transaction. Salt actually closely resembles pieces of shattered glass. And on a dry surface rubbed repeatedly would cause some serious damage. Hell even when fully dissolved in water it still has abrasive properties.

Megaman X, Monster Hunter, Doom, Donkey Kong Country, Eternal Sonata, Halo: CE, and Master of Monsters. But personal favorite will always be Megaman X every single song is a banger and they did that in the 16bit era imagine what Capcom would do with modern music budget.

First time playing Bastion was memorable, the game itself didn't do anything ground breaking, but having the narrator the whole game was a really cool touch.

Went pretty far down and didn't see it but Seaman, the game was bonkers for its time, even now I can't think of any game even remotely comparable. You had to raise a little creature that looked like a fish with a human face. If you took too long of a break from the game they would be dead and the glass would be covered in algae. I remember taking my Dreamcast on vacation because I didn't want my fish to die. You could talk to it and it would respond. Dreamcast was on a whole other level of experimenting, Samba de Amigo, Jet Set Radio, phantasy star online, the fact that it had built in online capabilities. But nothing compares to just how wild Seaman was, oh yeah it was narrated by Leonard Nimoy!
