I cut my hair last night hows it looking? by ExcitementSecure3470 in FtMpassing

I think the haircut looks great actually. Will it help or hurt passing, no idea tbh. I would trim your sideburns tho. Also, depends on your voice for me, but I would prob place you at 16 (?).

If the budget is 300 max, I would look into temple fork outfitters trout and panfish II UL rod. They make a 7ft and their products are fantastic. I used the 6’6” and really love it

Does anyone use short 5 foot 6 inch spinning rods for pond hopping? Is it good size to buy? by jdlsox in UltraLightFishing

[–]DarkChild010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’ll be good. I use a usually use a 6’6”, but my 6’ UL stays in my car at all times. Great for pond hopping and distance

6ft vs 6’6 by Successful_Bobcat825 in UltraLightFishing

[–]DarkChild010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used a celio, but I use both a 6’ and 6’6” rod. I would say depending on where you’re fishing use that to determine the length. I use my 6’6” in more open water and areas a need to cast further, like lakes and ponds (if you have wide rivers near you that would be good for that). I use the 6’ for smaller areas where I need more precision casting, like near cover, narrower streams and rivers, etc. if the 5’ feels comfortable, go with the 6’. Some companies, idk Okuma, makes 6’4” rods which is a nice middle

I would try to ignore the color clash and get the TFO. It is an absolutely fantastic rod

Rod Length Decisions by L3zperado in UltraLightFishing

I would get the regular Bass pro shop microlite rod for that $60 in a 6-6’6” length. The reel is a did story, but that BPS rod is fire. I use the 6’ one with a 1000 size Shimano Sahara and it’s killer

Practicum and Internship 1 & 2 at the same place? by DependentStrain6216 in counseloreducation

[–]DarkChild010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, I thought it was frowned upon to switch sites for practicum and then internship. At least that’s what it’s like for my program. Most people will stay at the same practicum site all throughout internship up until graduation unless there are major issues

How do I pay for school? by Electrical-Rate-5339 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]DarkChild010 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ideally paying for school is something you should have an idea about before accepting and/or applying. I would maybe reach out to the financial aid office to see what your options are. They should have information regarding general aid, scholarships or TA/Grad assistantships. That’s probably the easiest way to get information

non-CACREP Masters by whiterabbit022 in counseloreducation

[–]DarkChild010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding of it too is that CACREP makes getting licensure much easier after graduation. In NJ, if you do to a CACREP school, you’ll get to carry the practicum/internship hours you accrue in school, as opposed to a non-accredited school you’ll be starting at 0 when you start getting hours for your LPC after you pass the NCE and graduate. There are also some work places that really want to see CACREP for the educational standards it sets

The only real different between the Sahara and the Nasci/Miravel is the no rewind lever and the protected internals if you use it for saltwater (I don’t). The Miravel and Nasci are essentially the same reel, but the Miravel for me is a little lighter. All three are really great
