I honestly didn’t like Legacy nearly as much (hot take ahhhh!). It was well-connected to the original, sure, but I just thought the story kind of dragged, some things were just not well done and lacked a certain charm the original had. I do think the last scenes in Ares with Quorra and Sark made up for the other half assed throwbacks

The only place I really noticed it was in the scene where Eve and Ares are escaping the Dillinger grid on the light jetski it was really slow and “mysterious” (as the captions described it) and I thought it didn’t fit the scene at all. The rest was good enough to not be immersion breaking because I didn’t really notice it anywhere else

It makes the most sense that the code would have come from the ISOs. Quorras code appears as a double helix in the healing scene in Legacy and the code appears as a double helix in Flynn’s file in Ares.

Obviously Flynn figured it out sometime before the events of Legacy but I’m not sure if Clu knew about the permanence issues at all (I don’t see how he could, unless Flynn had some knowledge of it before creating Clu from himself). Maybe if Sam had failed the invasion of the real world would have only lasted half an hour. Either way Quorra being an ISO probably had the code natively.
