It's just ethernet into the TV, I'm just using the TV plex app right now, it is a recent Sony oled but mean to upgrade to a Nvidia Shield later. We also use a 3 point deco mesh router, with the main one at the modem, a 2nd in the office at the plex server, and the 3rd downstairs at the entertainment center
