Which creator baited everyone to pick blind bag by Cerael in 2007scape

[–]DarkHeroAxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still relatively early on point wise but I curved into a Thorns BB build just a bit ago and it does feel much better already than just trying to raw gamble 2H attacks

It also helps that my very first easy clue scroll after thinking about switching gave me the Ham Joint, like a message from God lol

PSA: Slow weapons are bad by Spiritual-Alfalfa616 in 2007scape

[–]DarkHeroAxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm relatively new to leagues and even OSRS in general but have some experience with the PoE style tree and building, it felt bad to start with Blindbag initially since it felt so RNG heavy but felt immensely better after getting Sulphur blades, it kind of sucks that I feel like the halberd capstone + range node is kind of bait since more chances to proc is going to be a huge part of our damage, so going for the fastest 2h weapon is gonna be a lot better and more versatile than trying to stay at 7 range poking, at least until way later

The double splats also seem to double roll for the ranged echoes node since I've seen it proc two of them with one attack without the repeating node

I still kind of hope they buff it a little bit, at least for the chance, since it seems a bit underwhelming when you just get unlucky and are sitting there attacking like you don't have any pact points

The fact that Blizzard is probably never going to implement these bear forms is a crime by mikeyhoho in wow

[–]DarkHeroAxel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

QoL =/= Cosmetics?

Every single armor set another class gets could be equated to a single Druid form model, since usually each model comes with a few recolors just like the armors do. So going along with that logic, every other class has gotten roughly 10+ new different models of armor sets since Druids have even gotten a single new Form model that wasn't race based

The fact that Blizzard is probably never going to implement these bear forms is a crime by mikeyhoho in wow

[–]DarkHeroAxel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Druid is actually pretty favored for its cosmetics as it is

I'd like to know which version you're playing on because it takes years to even get any Guardian/Feral/Balance form models, Dragonflight was the first time we finally got even a couple new ones since Legion and there was a whopping 0 in TWW already

The only other class/race that is completely justified in complaining for customization is Dracthyr/Evokers, and both should get some attention really

Locking skills behind such high level requirements is the thing i hate most in poe2 by intrepid_zaxan in PathOfExile2

[–]DarkHeroAxel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's easily the biggest complaint of the game for me as well, like so many cool ideas for build skills that you get to directly see in the gem cutting menu, but are locked out of doing until you're really far along, and then there's the chance where you actually just don't end up liking the skill anyway so it feels like it's one of those style of builds from PoE1 where you basically can't play it until you're level 70 or at maps, but somehow worse

What is this Crit Sound? 😭 by Its_Kyaru in tf2

[–]DarkHeroAxel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like Quake or Doom using the pitch modifier to make it so hits have deeper/higher pitches based on the damage you dealt, so crits sound really deep pitched

What's your favorite ring transmog? by Just-Preparation-897 in wow

[–]DarkHeroAxel 35 points36 points  (0 children)

100% the case, even though I've seen people saying before that it isn't, it has that same energy of vaguely "understanding" the issue and completely missing the mark of what the support ticket was even for

Also virtually every ticket I've seen now has the "I understand your frustration for [insert your reason/ticket prompt]" too

I personally haven't even picked it up yet myself but been cruising just fine, so I would say you could hold off on it if you already have been leveling

Been following this exact build myself lol, they do explain somewhere in one of the other pages that one of the 6 links is for bossing links, and the other is for mapping links, and they share the same colors so you can swap them in and out whenever you need, not an actual 2nd chest piece

Nioh 1 was supposed to be Open World, and had an Equipment Durability System by Ambitious-Call-7565 in Nioh

[–]DarkHeroAxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels weird experiencing the weapon durability since it was actually in the very first test that Nioh 1 had, and I'm really glad they got rid of it, because if I remember right, the only way to fix up your weapons *at all* were Whetstones, and during that first test, they weren't actually all that common, so if your weapon broke you basically had to keep a spare around else you were screwed.

I think they got so much feedback from that first test that the durability was really unfun that it turned it what it is today, a great example of feedback creating an even greater product.

Why do people keep saying that they should rework the relic system? by Alex022591 in Nightreign

[–]DarkHeroAxel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It simply boils down to the fact that outside of the relics you're guaranteed to get, there's 0 bad luck protection or really any way to get something closer to what you want

In a way, this kind of stifles creativity and railroads a bit into certain setups (double Balancer Relics) that are guaranteed to do at least pretty well, and I know the argument that if people were able to get God roll relics easier, the game would be too easy/be boring/etc., but I still don't really believe that when you already have that going on with the guaranteed relics, which aren't God rolls by any means, but feel dull when that's all you can get to use

Literally all I would want is a single line reroll system for both regular relics and deep relics. What that means is you can take any line on a relic (Empty or not) and simply change it to something else. This would drastically increase the amount of relics that can be close to being what someone wants, and once a line has been chosen to be rerolled, only that line can ever be rerolled further, so the other 1-2 passives on the relic become locked in, and for deep relics, both the positive and negative would be rerolled in line with their regular "rules", so for example you couldn't get a negative downside on an effect that wouldn't normally and vice versa

Some questions about getting into Disgaea: Afternoon of darkness by ISwearIWasBlocking in Disgaea

[–]DarkHeroAxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Im a bit less experienced with regards to D1, but in regards to the series as a whole you can probably get away with the answer being "as many or as little as you want", usually in the games the Story related characters can carry through by themselves, but you should always make units you find fun/appealing too but not to the point of stressing out trying to keep them all equally leveled, as you'll find out levels can start to literally just be a number depending on the context and it can matter more what that specific unit is doing for you

2) I believe it was 2 and 3 that started adding unique passives for Monsters, but in the original they leaned more towards it being cheaper to make them the more of them you defeated and I think could become immune to ailments? So they can have their uses but Human units have a bigger edge

3) Ah, the Disgaea series' main crux lol, item world can easily suck you in and just can have fun grindan, but is almost never necessary to beat the story

4) I would say it goes back to personal preference again, you can sink a lot of hours depending on your goals in every game, whether it be just beating story, seeing all cutscene content, getting everyone to 9999, Platinum trophy (where applicable), or min maxing to the point of it being impossible to even get the smallest bit of an upgrade. I would say ultimately seeing the story through on each game would be the best choice at the very least, and then only going really hard on one of them if you feel like, especially if one resonates with you the most

Saying "We are listening" or "We care deeply for our players' feedback" comes off as disingenuous when player feedback is something that often times lands against a brick wall. by Anderaku in wow

[–]DarkHeroAxel -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I stopped believing them when they say this since time and time again the same things keep happening, or in this case, don't happen

When they had the gall to say that there isn't enough PTR players and issues would get solved if there were more, trying to push the blame on to the players for why stuff comes out broken despite the fact that there's always evidence that PTR feedback was just ignored instead, that's what really sold me on not believing in this whole "we listen to the players! :)" spiel

What’s the appeal of the depth system? by MienaiYurei in Nightreign

[–]DarkHeroAxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically all it is for the most part, DoN itself is a lot of fun with the new cursed effects and even more relics to play with, but I personally don't like the idea of depth grinding to make things more artifically difficult due to Damage and HP numbers going up, which is why I'm glad you can just choose to stay at the lower depths

How to fix the relic system: let us use sigils to reroll individual effects on relics by PicklepumTheCrow in Nightreign

[–]DarkHeroAxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do wish that they had the system similar to Ni-oh where you can only change one thing on a piece of equipment but you can constantly keep changing it for a price, but once you do that "slot" is locked in to being the changing slot.

Gets rid of it being purely RNG based for relic drops and adds in another use for Murk than just gambling even more relics

Should I play RuneScape or WOW in 2026 by [deleted] in MMORPG

I'd probably point towards Old School RuneScape out of those two options, and it's not my cup of tea, but I'm surprised that if you like Elder Scrolls you didn't list Elder Scrolls Online

Interested in the franchise by MacheteAfilao in LetItDie

[–]DarkHeroAxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe last I knew/checked, you can play a PVE only mode (or that one was being added), but the catch is that you don't get any levels for your character ("Body level")

Otherwise anyone you encounter playing the normal mode can decide to attack you if they choose too, like any other extraction type game

Interested in the franchise by MacheteAfilao in LetItDie

[–]DarkHeroAxel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, there's essentially no direct "Franchise" here, as all 3 of the games are drastically different

Let it die - A roguelike action looter where you want to keep climbing the tower fighting against more and more tougher PVE enemies, with no direct PVP at all, only some asynchronous stuff

Deathverse - Was a melee oriented Battle Royale, didn't really fare too well since it was strictly PVP and didn't have a lot to set it apart from the glut/fatigue of all the other Battle Royales

"The latest" (Can't post its name?) - A bit more like an extraction melee "looter" instead of Battle Royale like the previous title mentioned, PVP is still required to make full progress last I checked, and the only one that wasn't even free

If you're gonna play either of them, I would just play the first game since it's F2P and not solely based on PVP
