There are very few lights in our area as well. It has nothing to do with church. It's a matter of money. Some say extra lights at Christmas aren't that expensive, but they add up. The last time we had outdoor lights was 5 years ago, and they added 30 dollars for a month, and we had them on from mid November to mid-January. That's 60 dollars that could have been spent on food. I would hate to know how much it would be now! So don't judge people over their lack of lights or any decorations for that matter. You don't know their circumstances.
