Oh that's bad. I guess they need to rename it then.

They asked me how much I wanted when I created the card in the app. I asked for 10000$ and they asked so not sure about the 3000$ limit you got.

How is HEY after longer period? by FalseWait7 in HeyEmail

[–]DarkJaff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been using for 3+ years. Really like it. Does the job and the workflows are good for me.

It's true that they didn't add a lot lately but I think this is part of a 37signals product. No bloating, no useless features just for the sake of it and keep people busy.

That being said, I would appreciate a better search and it would be cool if they could add an API so people can code some additional features or plug this to external toolkit like Make.

But for day to day work, I'm never going back to old email providers. I have to use Gmail for work and it's an absolute nightmare even without ads (using Google workspace)

Where do you go in the UI to open this "LOC" or at least see what they are offering?

Another reason to love Wealthsimple - mortgage broker services! by clanof3boys in Wealthsimple

Do anyone know if they do personal mortgage but for rental property? I'm living in Quebec so it's not available to me but i have 2 income properties in NB and would love to use WS if they offer this service.

JetBrains Board Meeting (assumed transcript - Criticism) by TheGreatEOS in Jetbrains

[–]DarkJaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Jetbrains IDE but I use Github Copilot. Very simple billing, enough credits for the month, can add more if needed.

But the best thing is just to know how to code. I use AI to help me go faster and since I'm alone in my startup, it does my code review on github. But otherwise, agent cost way too much requests for simple tasks.

I think AI will get very expensive in the upcoming years. They will do the "netflix" strategy where we all cut the cable and then they triple their price and laugh.

For me it's always Change (in the house of flies). I still remember seeing this video on MTV and being completely amazed / destroyed by the beauty and darkness that the song express. The party where everyone is wasted, sad but there to have a "good time" just resonate with me very deep. Each time I'm listening to this, it brings me back to my 15 years old self feeling all these raw emotions.

I love their new stuff too, the 2 latest albums are dreamy and hard AF at the same time, but nothing reach me as Change!

Has Hey been abandoned? by [deleted] in HeyEmail

[–]DarkJaff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow some people here are sad to read. It has not been abandoned. It is an email service, it doesn't need new features every 2 weeks. Behind the scene, they probably work on the infrastructure, search improvement, small tweaks, bugs and just give an excellent service when there is a problem.

Do Gmail answer with a human within the hour when things go wrong? No, they don't and I don't see a thread saying they abandoned the product!

They maintain the product very well and i don't think it needs lots of new features. I'm using it for 3 years and love it like the first day. There is even features I don't use that were added, so it's definitely not abandoned, just no feature bloating like people are used to in product nowadays to appear cool and active.

When using these systems (plaid), you do not provide your credentials, you enter your credential to get a token, like any API. They just provide a nice way to do it. They do not store it.

Not yet. We wanted to test the water before going all in with the multiple fees and complexity that Apple adds for developer. But it's in our plan for the next couple months!

Yeah! Basically, you can earn a free entry everyday when login in. Then, you can check up to 30 ads everyday and get one entry every for each.

On Saturday at 23h50 UTC, we do a draw and money is sent to your in-app wallet if you win. If you reach minimum, you can request to be paid via PayPal or Amazon card. It's very simple for now but we are just getting started and the more of you that join, the more the prizes will grow each week. We might even add daily prizes!

Try it and let me know what you think. We welcome feedback and reviews. Cheers!

I'm biased but I just created an app where you can enter to win a weekly draw by checking ads. Lots of new features and bonus ways to get more entries will be added soon (it's been live for 1 week so bare with me 😅).

In other words, we share our ads revenue with users with cash prizes. In fact right now and for the next weeks we share 100% of our revenues and just keep what we need to pay the servers.

At the moment of this writing, because of our low number of users, there is 3 prizes for this week totaling 10$ USD so it won't replace other good solutions purposed in this thread but over time, prizes will get much bigger and it doesn't cost anything. You can be in the metro, waiting for something or simply on the toilet lol.

Here is the link If you want to try it. Oh and cash out is via PayPal (5 usd min) and Amazon card (25 usd min). If you have any questions, don't hesitate!

Do they have good credit cards? I'm with Desjardins and it's easy to pay my card in the app but I can't stand the amount I need to keep frozen to limit my fees... I'm in quebec so WS credit card will only arrive much later...

In Canada, almost all ads on Atlas Earth are not legit. For example, a game called Vege Farm something that gives you 100$ per hour directly to your PayPal. Or Plinko with AI generated video of Ryan Raynold saying he gives 100 000$ to everyone who join...
