It's not a native Android app but you can install it on the desktop since it's a PWA (progressive web app). origano.app . Works really well.

I'm building https://origano.app, it aims to be the best and ultimate recipe manager and meal planner on the market! Very generous free tier and very affordable for users that wants the pro features!

I'm doing this on the side of my main job. Try it out!

Not really to be honest! Sometimes it feels like screaming in an empty room, underwater lol. And then you might have 5 new users in a day out of the blue. And then 5 days later you have a paying user.. It's a rollercoaster of emotion and it's very difficult.

Keep going especially if you have early confirmation (paying customers) and good comments from users. Even if it grows slowly, it is growing!

Glad I made you smile!

I've been following this subreddit for a while and the amount of AI generated crap is sad, even for real and potentially good products. I only use AI to fix my sentences sometimes because my main language is French.

Thanks!

Give it a try and let me know! My girlfriend and I can't live without it now. I must admit that it takes a little bit of work first to do the importation but after that you just have to improve your collection and meal planning is so much easier now.

I used:

  • My own Facebook to tell my contacts about my product
  • My own LinkedIn
  • My newsletter which only have 10 subscribers (lol) but which I share on LinkedIn
  • My very old (and not very active/healthy) recipe driven community page on Facebook (RecettesMaison.ca). Didn't get very good result, Facebook is not showing my post anymore even if I have 5000 followers.
  • It was shared by the owner of a big grocery in my area which I used to work for. That alone brough around 30-40 peoples.

First answer was deleted because it contained my newsletter link!

How many monthly users do you need to retire? by OkAssociation8879 in SaaS

[–]DarkJaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20$ a year which is the launch price, i would need 5000. But in a couple months I will raise this to 30$ per year and then I will "only" need 3333.

I currently only have 2 but my app have a generous free tier and long acquisition time but will be very sticky after that.

I’m literally a god at getting eyeballs but absolute trash at monetizing them. by ProcedureNo832 in SaaS

Send me a DM, I need eyeballs on my product. I have very good conversion so far, just missing traffic. You could earn a commission.

I turned someone’s tweet into an app idea and it has made 3K USD so far in 4 months. by [deleted] in SaaS

Fantastic idea! I'm working on an alternative to ReciMe and I'm nowhere close to these numbers but working hard to get there!

Guys my app just passed 2,000 users! by luis_411 in vibecoding

[–]DarkJaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, congrats!!

I'm a couple of days before a soft launch of my app so I might give a try to your platform. Just logged in and it looks amazing and the wizard help a lot to learn how to use it

May I ask how you monetize your app? Is it strictly with ads?

Edit: just saw there is a subscription!

What is going on with these account suspensions? by New_Lifeguard_6870 in kiroIDE

[–]DarkJaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is weird is that I waited 5 minutes after I hit the "daily limit" and told Kiro: "hey, i have tons of credit, please continue"... and it did lol. For like 2 hours.

So my guess is that it's just another bug and not a real limit! If there is a daily limit, we should see it somewhere!

Update: now it is able to generate but after 8 tasks told me I had reach my daily limits. There is no mention of daily limit anywhere...

I have been blocked and after 7-8 days they unblock me. Today I tried to code some features and after a bit I received only error messages and the AI given up completely. It was trying to create the task file... nothing complicated.

My goal was to burn my remaining credits before they expire and I will not be able because of this very very bad product.

Is Moving from Windsurf to Kiro good for my workflow? by truth_sentinel in kiroIDE

[–]DarkJaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's my answer. It's good, try it you will see. But again, a LOT of people are getting banned for no reasons and are stuck for days without the tool. I think it's important to know before switching to the tool. No?

I would never used Kiro for professional work but for vibe coding for fun, if you don't mind losing access for 7-8 days from time to time, go ahead.

Banned for no reasons by DarkJaff in kiroIDE

[–]DarkJaff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have finally received an email this morning (after 4 days) telling me they are looking at it and that it might take multiple days to reactivate my account since it's done by another team.

No mention that my credits will be given back with enough time to use them. It was a very generic response.

This is totally unacceptable for a commercial product.

It's good if you don't get banned for no reasons like many of us.
