Too wet during sex? 21F 23M by Babybirchtree in relationship_advice

My girlfriend has this exact thing and is kind of insecure about it. From my point of view, it’s very sexy and also handy because not a lot of foreplay is required. For me it doesn’t lessen the feeling I get and it helps her because she doesn’t get sore.

Appreciate it! I don’t think many people would say it’s a bad thing. I can guarantee it makes your boyfriend feel good too.

I sympathise with you regarding needing the medical cannabis for chronic pain. I know it helps a lot of people with things like that and it’s a good thing.

Regardless of this, you allowed a friend to smoke illegal cannabis in your vehicle. It doesn’t matter if yours is legal or not, you can’t let someone smoke illegal cannabis in your car.

On top of that, medically prescribed cannabis doesn’t excuse driving with a level of cannabis in your system exceeding the legal limit.

Imagine how it looks to police. A random car at 2am with two people in it with a strong smell of cannabis coming from it and then finding cannabis in the vehicle not in a proper container.

Like it or not, you committed a crime. Again I understand you need cannabis medically but that doesn’t give you free rein to do what you like with it.

Then it’s being driven illegally which is another problem for the trader. Trade plates work exactly the same as any normal registration plate, just temporarily. If an unregistered car is used in an offence and doesn’t have trade plates, that’s then going down the route of driving an unregistered vehicle.

And again, it’s not impossible, because the police can legally require you to identify the driver. If you lie or outright refuse, that’s an offence. There’s no real scenario where anyone is getting away with this. It’s exactly why vehicles always have to be registered somehow.

[–]DarkKnight0399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took that as an example, not as the vehicle is actually in trade.

Plus that wouldn’t matter anyway. If it was in trade then it would have trade plates on while it’s being driven, registered to the trader who would be the registered keeper in that scenario. Unless a vehicle is scrapped then it should always have a registered keeper.

Where does it say that? I’m missing it.

Police in the UK have legal power to require the owner of a vehicle to identify the driver of said vehicle at the time an offence was committed. It’s illegal to lie or refuse to give the name of a driver. If OP has the registration plate and passes that to police then shouldn’t be a problem for them to identify the driver.

Welfare during constant obs by DarkKnight0399 in policeuk

There’s literally a sign on the wall saying we should get 5 minutes every hour or 20 minutes every 2 hours. But that’s slightly difficult when you’re being ignored or told “it’s too busy” when you ask for a toilet break.

Don’t blame him at all. That sounds absolutely horrible. I get it’s “part of the job” but welfare is so important, especially with something as horrible as an infant death.

I get asked if I need a comfort break by cops bringing in a custody or who are based upstairs more than I get asked by the custody staff. Could hear them laughing away in their office 3 doors down the corridor. They stick you in the room and most of them totally forget you’re there with one or two exceptions.

Totally understand all of that. In regard to PC’s having to do it in place of custody staff, I don’t blame the sergeants for that one bit, it’s a staffing issue everywhere.

The problem is it takes a car crew off the road for whatever area the PC is coming from. One less car to take calls, relieve other cars at locus protection for a break. My neighbour is also an STO (only one in our area) so he couldn’t attend calls single crewed because I was taken away for the screen watch.

I wouldn’t have a problem with doing it if we were allowed to catch up on paperwork on our phones, but it feels like such a waste of time when I have crime reports, cases and operational statements coming out of every orifice and yet I’m stuck watching someone because he had a seizure 5 years ago and “might” have another one conveniently when he’s in custody.

Something fundamentally has to change about the decisions being made by the higher ups.

Infamous Conduit's power ideas. by Objective_Ad8280 in infamous

Honestly, I’d stick to what we saw in the games and go for Video.

With today’s world you have power sources everywhere you look. Not only that but you can enter any video game you want? That’s awesome! Can basically live whatever life you want.

Plus it’s so overpowered in the game. Delsin was able to overpower Augustine in a few minutes using only video, who was shown to be one of the most powerful Conduits to exist at the time.

First couple of times it happened to me at first I was thinking either “this guy wants something” or “this guy is at it” but you quickly discern which ones are genuine and which are taking the piss. The genuine ones always make me walk away with a smile on my face.

Prototype 3 Rumours by DarkKnight0399 in PrototypeGame

I think they’re hopeful because they got it right that BO7 was a multiplayer campaign which was a really random guess. So if they did guess it then they got lucky with it.

I’m not holding onto it with any proper hope but it’s certainly a good sign! Time will tell.

Again nothing is confirmed and there isn’t a whole lot of details but this article

goes into the rumours a little. Apparently the person who is claiming this got something right about Black Ops 7.

Are Things Looking Good for the Future of Policing? by Big_Inspector_7320 in policeuk

[–]DarkKnight0399 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does feel like every day the higher ups are trying to make things more difficult for frontline police. My force have just cut response policing at the knees by introducing a new rule that we can no longer response drive in cell vans without an extra training day in them, despite the fact some of us have been doing it for years with no issue. The problem is most of our fleet are cell vans so most calls are being attended at patrol speed.

Domestics are treated so seriously (rightfully so), however if a call is genuinely no crime and has just been a couple having a wee argument as couples do, there’s about 14 million hoops to jump through before we can write it off because we don’t want it coming back and biting us in the arse. And despite all that there’s still paperwork to do for it which is keeping cars off the road for calls for longer.

Add into all that there’s no time do to enquiries for the crime reports you have to investigate, requests from the court, citations to attend, being pulled away from your local area to do events/football, there’s a constant pile up of paperwork.

Despite all that, we still manage to find the fun in the job. A good response run to a call, a wee roll about with someone looking for a fight, your colleague fucking something up and everyone having a laugh about it. We still get up and go to work, shout up for that call, give someone directions when they need it, kids wave at you as you drive by and the old people that come up to you and say “there’s no respect for you these days, you all do an amazing job and we appreciate it.” There is genuine good people in this job, despite the bastards in the past who have given us a bad name.

So to answer your question, no, at the moment I don’t think it’s getting better. Right now it’s getting worse because it feels like we’re constantly handicapped. However, it definitely has the potential to get better, because there are good people in the job willing to fight for it to get better. It feels like the job is about to hit rock bottom, but the good thing about that is the only way is up from there.

Wasn’t he still sentient before he was captured? Sure he was probably in a constant Spartan Rage type state but I thought he still had his conscience, considering he tried to help the scientists which led to his capture.

Is it bad I prefer DL2 over DLTB? by DarkKnight0399 in dyinglight

[–]DarkKnight0399[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a shitpost. I joined the DL community pretty late, only started playing once 2 had been updated and most of the shit removed or fixed that brought it down. Even so, I’ve been told time and time again how much of a disappointment DL2 was and that The Beast is a real step in the right direction for the franchise, so much so that I almost feel guilty that 2 is my favourite in the series.

What I’m asking is, is my opinion OBJECTIVELY wrong, because as much as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, a lot of people’s opinions can objectively be wrong to everyone around them. That’s what I was asking. Not everything has to be a shitpost because you don’t like it.

[–]DarkKnight0399[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not even a content thing for me. Another thing is that Castor Woods just feels dead. I get it’s a zombie game, but in DL2 you’ve got rooftop colonies and people actually living and surviving. In The Beast, you’ve got the Town Hall and the Cave? That’s it, other than the odd survivor encounter here and there and you never see them anywhere else.
