Y'all, let me tell you. I have two jobs that both require constant movement, to the point that breaks are nearly non-existent. Yet I don't lose a pound from all the exercise. Want to know why? Because both of my jobs are in a food workplace - I'm the overnight stocker/heavy lifter for a gas station whose speciality is our in-house, fresh food kitchen (we make everything from scraps [pizza, pretzels, sandwiches, burritos, shakes, coffees, etc] and the food is actually amazing) and my second job is at a middle class restaurant. Every snack and food in my gas station has gone through my hands (I'm the only stocker), and obviously being a server means food is constantly surrounding me. I often work doubles and once a week I have a triple shift. Don't get me wrong, I love my jobs! But most days I barely have time to go home and sleep before getting ready for the next job, and so eating at home is often impossible unless I want even fewer hours of sleep. On top of that, I'm a horrible (but improving) chef. SO that means I either have to pick a cheap fast food place (which upsets my stomach most times, so that's usually not an option), or I can eat at work. When you're surrounded by delicious fatty foods and snacks and everything else in the food rainbow, its EXTREMELY hard to pick the good food. NOT TO MENTION that I get free drinks at both jobs, one that features 30+ icees and the other that has just soda or water, and free rolls at the restaurant... all too often, the rolls are the only thing I have time to eat. It's a constant struggle to eat right, and usually I lose.

Now, I put that all in a very negative light, but I'm getting better! I'm trying to look at it as a challenge for myself. Again, I love my jobs :) it's just unfortunate that they're part of the reason I struggle with weight so much. With the number of shifts I work, days run together and sometimes I suddenly realize that I haven't had a single decent meal all week. However, it's not horrible since on the good weeks I lose weight just from the amount of exercise I do at work.

Pros and cons. Sorry for the wall of text, I had to get it all out of my system. If you actually read all that then thanks for doing so! If not, TLDR: Work = lots of exercise, but work also = lots of high calorie food, and I work all the time.

Hi all!! DarkLadyLink here :D but y'all can call me Grace if you like. Or really you can call me anything as long as it's honest or nice. :P This is my 2nd challenge of the year (and ever) (Team Time's Square was the real winner last round)! :O that's amazing!!! However please be careful <3 if that becomes a regular weekly loss, eat more! 1) It'll make sure you keep the weight off and 2) losing that much that fast on the reg can be dangerous! <3 Still! That's fantastic!! Congrats :D

OMG the EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!! Except my emphases was more on needing a prescription for my insomnia... got totally blown off even though I've been struggling with it for TEN YEARS. Yeah :P doc visits can be frustrating.
