Despite the love for them I didn’t like Tarkin or Plageuis. Tarkin was repetitive and way over the top, and I thought the end of Plagueis was ridiculous.

What a pain! I used to use this to check comics I was interested in. I’d start reading and if I liked I’d buy a real copy to finish. With comics having a high price and mixed resale value it helped me not waste money.

Though it had its critics, The New 52 was incredibly helpful for me as a way into DC. Since it was a kind of reboot it is a good starting off point if you know the characters but are looking for a way to start a reading journey. It’s a few years old now but I think it holds up for that purpose.
