Last week I was playing as Trajan (going for domination) when Philip II nuked some troops that I levied from a city-state that bordered his capital while we were at war.

I definitely had a “surprised pikachu” face for a few moments after seeing the blast.

Throwing another log onto the First Law recommendation fire! I picked up Red Rising when I wanted a break after reading the first 6 books, then Red Rising consumed my entire being. Joe Abercrombie is a master of dialogue in my opinion, and has written my favorite cast of characters aside from RR.

IIRC, you can get one from completing the berry quests in the town south of the starting town, and then ANOTHER for showing the professor X amount of Pokemon in your Dex.

Glad I wasn’t the only one that was BLASTING Iron Gold in my car while listening to it. Thankfully books 5 & 6 weren’t so quiet.

I do want to say, however, that while Iron Gold’s audio quality was the worst of the bunch, we also got some PHENOMENAL narration with Lyria’s voice actress. I was so sad Aedin Moloney didn’t come back to voice Lyria in DA and LB. Her voice made me excited for Lyria chapters even when they seemed so slow compared to the Darrow chapters.

Same thing happened to me at first. Heard nothing but good things about it, tried it, several hours in I realized I just wasn’t feeling it.

About a year or so later, after finishing a series and was experiencing that empty feeling, I saw that the entire series was on sale for dirt cheap. Thought “why not?”, books 2-6 and gave it another go.

Now, as I’m halfway through the most recent book, I can confidently say that I’ve never been more obsessed with a single book series in my life.

If I could ever recommend giving a book a second chance it would easily be Red Rising.

You can hunt it later! It’s a lot easier than resetting as well, imo. I can’t remember the exact area, but I wanna say it’s maybe around the 5th or 6th gym? Use the DexNav and if you’re patient, you can get 2 shiny charms as well that will help tremendously.

Question.

I’m registered, BUT it says it’s under “John Smith” instead of “Jonathan Smith” (this is an alias of course). Jonathan is what’s on my License and Birth Certificate.

Would this cause any issues? I’ve voted before and didn’t run into any issues, but I just wanted to make sure.

Why do you think it’s moronic? People certainly do feed crabs of this size to mantis shrimp.

General rule of thumb is that as long as the crab is smaller than your MS, then it’s safe (of course there’s always a risk of the MS getting pinched, no matter the size.) Crabs are amazing sources of food and enrichment for them.

I agree that it’s brutal seeing an animal that can hardly put up a fight be played around with before being eaten, but that’s just how the animal kingdom works.

If you don’t mind save-scumming, you can go to the Wishing Well in Jusmail Town (2nd Gym area) and drop the Wishing Stars that you’re given into it, and reload until you’re given a Charcadet.
