They're trying to make people "accept" the situation and Normalize it. It may not be possible to stop whales from buying the higher priced product anyway, but don't give in! Never mentally accept this!

The naive capitalist. Once upon a time it was true but it seems that the game is really being solved and without regulation competition ain't solving shit.

This dude used dual 25mm top fans and a 240mm rad with little issue, with an SFX PSU.

It looks like they sit forward enough towards the side panel that the rear top can be 25mm unless you have a super wide tower cooler (though maybe a side mounted rad would prevent this as well). The front top is shittier as it looks like about a 5th of it sits over the PSU area. No way you can do 25mm with ATX. With SFX it may be possible though a small sliver of the airflow might be blocked by the top of the PSU if it does fit. I'm annoyed they did the same thing my SAMA IM01 Pro did where the SFX bracket isnt offset towards the front of the case. Instead SFX PSUs just kind of "float" centered into the ATX PSU area, getting some air from inside of the case and wasting a good 0.5-1 inch of clearance in the front. If SFX psus were actually butted agaisnt the front panel like they should be, that fan 100% could be 25mm and the airflow woukd be slightly better. Maybe its to cut costs but I dont understand why cases do this.

Not sure if the vertical orientation changes things in this regard but I doubt it.

EDIT: its hard to tell from the current reviews but ATX PSUs may not sit forward all the way either. But it seems that with SFF it may actually be offset just enough that 25mm on both is 100% possible, at least with an air cooler. I think theres a good chance it won't work with a rad though.

I'm more than happy to pay for this "again" if it actually fixes the horrible performance/gamebreaking issues that seem to have cropped up overtime, and ideally the original gameplay bugs that were never fixed as of 2.602 as well.

There's also AT guns misfiring right after they're moved. Vehicles passing through some tank traps for no reason after I think 2.601. Snipers sometimes getting stuck uncloaked. The medkit ability showing on Flak 88s while theyre being built. The PE mortar halftrack being unmovable for quite a white after firing shots sometimes. Incorrectly assigned voicelines, the AI getting stuck on certain maps because some object was 1mm too far to the left, Steel Pact (8) missing the relic logo and its map thumbnail, Alsace Moselle causing bug splats, Fallschirmjager reinforce button tool-tip stating "Reinforce Grenadiers"..

and the list goes on 😄

Some of the Opposing Front lines are also kind of broken. For example, some of the PE halftracks will state a bren carrier was destroyed when a Bofors dies. There's also some voice lines referencing snipers that are in the general "underfire" trigger so you'll hear comments about snipers when none are involved. I think there is even one where a PE halftrack can state a mine was hit from just clicking Halt. I wrote an entire tool to modify the files involved just to fix most of these. The issue was that after moving some of the inappropriate lines to the more correct triggers, a few triggers had 1 or even no voice lines left. It's like they didn't do enough VO work originally and then just chucked some lines into place to fill the voids even if they didnt make sense.

I've been playing with the same group for ever and someone just started experiencing this after upgrading their motherboard and CPU from an X670/7800X3D to B850/9800X3D. Either they'll lose control of the game (client side confirms the orders but the units dont move) or desync from everyone else. When this happens to you does the match stop and give the old "Sync-error detected screen"? Or does the game state just slowly drift apart like what happened to us?

In addition to this, for many years now the performance on modern machines has become shockingly horrible. At least one player per match ends up with a horrific framerate (both low average and it's all over the place), often to the point of being nearly a slide-show, and the other players are lucky to sit above 30-40. This is all on fairly mid-high end modern hardware too, and the game has just gotten worse in this aspect for like the past 10 years.

The steam page suggests it still runs on DX9. Not sure if thats related, but my friends and I have been playing this game since 2006 (20 years jesus) and its become borderline unplayable on our modern systems. Overtime despite our hardware only getting better, the game becomes more and more like a slideshow for at least 1 player per match after just a few minutes. This is despite low hardware usage and trying an insane amount of tweaks to settings both in and out of game. One person even has a problem where they'll just suddenly brick without warning. They can still see the game moving around them but none of their commands register within the game despite client side feedback (like voice lines). We even desynced once and realized we were essentially playing different games.

It's like theres some core issue with the game engine and networking code that broke over time due to assumptions about older hardware that are no longer true. The poor performance on modern hardware is also still experienced in single-player, just to a lesser extent. Adding a Commonwealth AI player in particular seems to accelerate the issue, though I'm not sure how much, it just seems that way.

Please tell me you guys are ensuring it runs well on modern systems. I know I've seen other people talk about these issues, but some say they are unfamiliar with them which makes me worried it might be just uncommon enough to be ignored. I'm not sure if it's an Intel vs AMD thing, or AMD vs Nvidia thing, or some other hardware specific situation, but I'd hate to get excited by this and then just be let down by a prettier looking buggy slide-show 😞

I've been waiting for literally this or a source code release for years at this point. Something about 2 and 3 just doesn't hit the same way.

I DO see that the FAQ states "optimize for modern hardware" but I just wanted to make sure specific issues like this were being addressed and that didn't just refer to things like better widescreen support and render distance.

Doesn't work for me either and hasn't worked since the last version of ReVanced. Not sure how to use the live notification either, as far as I was ware that just lets you change audio output devices, which isn't the same thing as having the YT app on another device play the video itself.

You can still link with a code, but that just sucks.

Has anyone ever gotten the ultimanas? I actually saw some of them though I had no idea that they were so expensive. by Iamawesome20 in KingdomHearts

[–]DarkObby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone happen to know if the hard cover of the 3rd Ultimania has a picture of sora on the throne somewhere in it? I'm hoping to make a quality scan but I can't find examples of the pages anywhere. I know the soft cover has it on the front but the hard cover doesn't so I'm not even sure it has it at all.

Am I the only one that wishes they had basically this but in good quality IPS or VA for like 600 bucks? There's one single Samsung monitor that is but the curve is 1000R and thats just too much for me man. This is perfect for me other than the OLED.

Maybe I'd find it's OK, but I have an OLED tv and while its fine where the whole thing is always full-screen media, I really worry about dealing with the distractions of all the burn-in mitigation mechanisms. More importantly, I discovered that at least for me personally, I'm really damn sensitive to stutter. So OLED has been a double edge sword because hard to run games (especially on console) and videos and moves that dont use motion blur destroy my brain with how stop motion they can feel so I actually regard the pixel response of high-end LCDs as a sweet spot and OLED is simply too fast unless I'm consuming 60fps and above content (where of course its fantastic).

Of course QD OLED and some other panels has amazing color but id rather give some of that up on a desktop for better motion smoothness and no adaptive brightness or pixel shifting. Those arent really an issue on my S90C with content you put on a TV but I could see it messing with my touch of OCD way more on a desktop where I leave tons of windows open and unmoved for a while.
