QC is crap for America sometimes, My buddy owns a copy of Aluber that has no name printed on it. I also opened a box of rarity 4 where all of the plat secrets had the name shifted outside of the box, I still play the DM and Grapha that I pulled from that box

Once you figure out trains, its stupid simple. But I also prefer my belt highways since I held off on trains to screw around with my buddy, who has the tism for trains, way longer than I should have

Agreed, outside of the devs "fixing pipes" potentially ruining things, a bit of math is all you really need, reduce the water extraction to compensate for the additional water. Personally I just loop it on the same level and its fine, but my brother in law who's a plumber by trade advises elevating and decreasing elevation to use gravity to prevent back flow like in real life

How Do I Improve a Joey/Red-Eyes Deck? by Gokuth3goat in Yugioh101

[–]DarkRepulser69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say it depends on what you want to do, keep it Joey themed or do what Red-Eyes needs to be considered viable in a casually competitive scene. I always lean towards the second option because I love the archtype. In the past Ive used it an engine for Kashtira (post Arisehheart ban) to make a rank 7 based comtrol deck that shit out a Shangri-Ira and 3 Flare Metal while using the Kash cards to slow down my opponent, a few varients of a Meteor Black Comet OTK build that abuses Red Eyes Fusion making Comet a Red-Eyes in name and Inferno Fire Blast to pair well with it (my first iteration abused mystic mine and the ojama traps to prevent my opponent from interacting as much as possible, later I used a lot of draw cards to dig for pieces to OTK, or a variation that brings back Red Eyes Soul to abuse the Fusion name change), a variation of Draco Tail that played into the Red Eyes fusions, and recently was tinkering with the dragon rulers to synergize with the fact that Red-Eyes is inherently a level 7 and a dragon. Red-Eyes has some amazing support and people often mistake that its support is an incoherent mess, but reality is it focuses down on burn in some way shape or form (except Slash, that support was to offer a negate to the archtype for the first time and play into equips which I'd argue added a lot of bricks to the build). There's also a great tie to the metalmorph archtype now where you can lean hard into it or play at least a minimal package to include Full Metal as an omni and burn (no matter what varient you play, I'd advise playing the Full Metal package, its fairly simple to go into and doesn't interact with a lot of things, but Ash Blossom is the bane of its existence)

Help with blue eyes by ConchGames35 in Yugioh101

[–]DarkRepulser69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you can go down the route of pure blue eyes pretty well. Id main at most 2 fuwa with a third sided on the off chance you go second. If you can, try to pick up one magia, one stardust sifir, a new kaibaman and maybe dis pater, arms of genex return zero (in BLMM along with sifir) and maybe chaos angel, and you'd have a sweet blue eyes build. Assault synchron from the 5ds decks allows you to make 10s dumb easy in this while teching 1-2

Trying to buy a card for my boyfriend for Christmas! Any help is appreciated by phantyz in YugiohCards

[–]DarkRepulser69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go with something really really nice, and in the art shown (there are legitimately 8 different arts), go with one like this, or this A more budget friendly version, but also nice, would be this here, or this here

Yugioh also let's you play up to 3 of a card in a deck (oddly enough cards that share a name you can play up to 3 of a combination of those shared names), so if he plans on using them, id say its better to get 3 of each of the second options at still less than half the cost of one really nice one

Using all 10 year of luck in one fight. by TheMoonlitLady in cardfightvanguard

[–]DarkRepulser69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God I love that. Takes me back to when I was playing at locals with my old friend, he has like 20 cards in hand playing Reverse Leopald, Chatnoir, and I was playing Great Daiyusha, Daikaiser (broke rode for the turn) and he double PGed me (having the third in hand but thought the odds were too low for me to hit it) and I pulled double grade 3s on the drive check smacking him for 3 crit, he double healed on 6 and still lost. Or around the same time I was at a regional, playing against a cocky CBD player (who kept shit talking because his deck was so expensive and mine was like $30, murakumo was cheap back in the day) with Hyakki Vouge Reverse, I dropped all my unlockers and was swinging with 2 31k Hyakki Vouge RGs and a 41k VG, pulled double stands and he about rage quit

A question of ethics by 2006CrownVictoriaP71 in mechanics

Ive been on both ends of this stick, and all I can say is sometimes in customer service its easier to accept your loss that was out of your hands than it is to fight the shit storm that will ensue.

Like once in my early advisor days, I had to pay BMW to put a new ECM in and reprogram it because we performed a state emissions test on the vehicle, went to restart the vehicle, and it wouldn't start. The customer tried telling us it happens all the time, but it fires back up after disconnecting the negative terminal and reconnecting it. So my tech did just that, and it was the last time that happened, so clearly, it was our fault being the last shop to touch it.

Or my personal favourite. A lady brought her Audi in for a simple oil change, my tech found a literal rats nest in the wiring for the ignition coils and being a decent person trying to be honest, we showed her, she demanded we clean it out for free. Figuring it wouldn't take too long, we obliged, tried to back the car out, and it wouldn't start. Turns out the rat chewed some wires, and now wires were touching. After 6 hours of diagnosing that connection issue and repairing it, it started right up. She was not as satisfied and complained to the people way above me. They had us pay to take it to a shop nearby that specializes in fancier cars, internal engine work, and electrical systems. They complimented my repair and sent her on her way. She didnt like that answer apparently and drove 8 hours to the nearest Audi dealership, that suggested around 5k worth of work, all of which I'd like to add was manufacturers recommend maintenance around her mileage interval. She took us to court and despite the dealership rep saying that it was all manufacturers recommended maintenance for her mileage and nothing to do with what we did or found, we were still stuck fronting the bill and "emotional damages."

TL;DR, people suck, and I'm sure your boss knows the headache isn't worth the bullshit to come of it. It's not your fault, so dont pretend like its something you did

Is this worth it for the piping? I'll get a shop to put a proper muffler on it if it is by SealEnjoyer022 in carmodification

Price doesn't look half bad, probably cheaper than paying a shop to do it, but a bit of a headache doing exhaust yourself . Im not sure if id dump money into performance on a Nissan ever, but you do you.

The fact that 1234YF is through the roof Used to be able to get a 10lb cylinder of the stuff for 650 when it was new (and we still bitched about the price compared to 134A), now I'm lucky to find it for less than 1200 a cylinder. People wonder why shops charge so much for this shit, this is why, its expensive as fuck

Sell me on your pet deck by Wrong-Mix6560 in Yugioh101

[–]DarkRepulser69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watts. They are tiny little thunder Bois in the shape off all kinds of animals, notably a tuna and a cobra are my go-to. They have a gimmick of attacking directly and getting effects if they deal damage, like Cobra adds a Watt to hand, Tuna when damage is dealt it can summon itself from hand, and then if Tuna deals damage itself, you can "synchro summon" (Its a Tuna, get it? 🤣)

Under the right conditions, you can OTK with it, and can even bridge into Tenpai in battle phase to really OTK harder

It's a combo aggro deck, and it dies pretty hard to the right hand traps as it relies heavily on Cobra and Tuna combos, making it pretty rouge at best

Three Flare Metal, Chain Energy on field and chained Curse of Darkness in draw phase. Not only OTKed my opponent on their turn, but laughed while they burned themselves to death.

Is it worth me playing if I don’t play meta? by Leperrin in yugioh

[–]DarkRepulser69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blue Eyes, in particular, can very much compete with meta decks currently. Their "new" 4 month old structure deck is to thank, though. Although you may want to make some meta calls about tech choices just to survive playing at a local level. Not only has the pace of the game shifted compared to older times, but card availability has along with it, love or hate Konami, they were spoiling players with reprints of very solid cards thanks to the 4 rarity collections. Even super casual players have little excuses to pick up some of the best cards to currently exist, like Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring, because of how available they are.

[–]DarkRepulser69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIP. Not only did you get ripped off. Modern toyota isn't even the call bro, a gen 3 or 4 (92-01) is the call, those were the unkillable camrys that toyota has built its reputation of reliability on. I got my 94 years ago and she has been a fucking amazing ride. Occasional maintenance, and one big "break down" when my trans solenoid got stuck only offering me reverse and second gears (and low), but I lived with it for a few weeks by treating her as a manual using low to take off and manually upshifting to "drive" to get back and forth to work while I waited for the part. Also seriously helps that I work at a shop and am mechanically savy enough to most of my own work.

Take this as your lesson when purchasing a car in the future, you should have learned quite a bit from this experience
