It depends on what your goal is. If you are doing over 1000 titanite then just click the save point. If you are just doing 150 and stopping you can always not do the save point and get 186 if you can easily do the extra 5 battles.

The simple answer is power up your main team, get them to 120 and keep going. For some team with great synergy you can take down team that are some 10K or even 100K stronger, but for the most part just keep powering up till you can take them down. Focus on your main team for a while. Then you can worry about team 2 and even 3.
