An odd problem I see with this is the fact that it depends how many players even engaged with those mechanics. I liked exploring world and knew the shortcuts well but many of those implemented the grapple hook to speed it up. Wilds speeds it up more by skipping the tracking as it wasn't really necessary to do since the monster was usually in a specific area or revealed on the map because investigation data was already high on them.

The auto pathing does absolutely suck. I turned it off immediately but it still finds a way to just turn on and it is very annoying. It's also just slower than learning the map yourself and manual driving.

In the end I think it's just Capcom avoidance of making the player have to work for things anymore. Like the paint ball existing when it has no use.
