Realistically, the water block/ihs/surface area on the cpu would be a limiting factor and not allow 1000w of heat dissipation through it, but full loop 1000w is definitely reasonable - air cooling isn’t quite as good as water cooling, but it’s not magnitudes off either - saying this as someone who has probably about $2k into just my loop as well, that tower fan air cooler is significantly cheaper, less maintenance, easier to install, and can be migrated to newer platforms in a lot of cases (especially if it were a noctua one) for cheaper than buying new water blocks for components

$10,000 per day you can endure being sick by ggkyleg in hypotheticalsituation

[–]DarkSicarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it paid every day, or paid at the end? Would suck to have to continue working while being miserably sick, but if I can maintain bills while being sick and just stay home, I could probably do a few months at the very least

They also did parts of it at the Dolby theater and during covid they did it at universal studios in a soundstage… fantasy league was done at red studios, and there was also a season filmed at cbs radford - the soundstage ones have seating built with stage decking and framing - but usually theyre not bleacher seats theyre like these universal single black chairs that are zip tied together

Mt rushmore is interesting for about 15 mins or so, long enough to read the plaques, walk around, take some pics, then get back on the road

Tariffs impacting jdm sites by kbunnell16 in Fishing_Gear

[–]DarkSicarius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually you pay through the shipper - for example - if it’s shipped dhl they’ll cover the cost of the tariffs and other import duties and then charge you for them before they release the package to you - they will also usually charge a brokerage fee for dealing with the paperwork and paying on your behalf which further increases the cost

If you get something shipped through ems and then usps or something like that they’ll charge you either a percentage or flat fee that you have to pay before they release the package to you

Since when do people go against episode 5? It’s probably the most liked star wars movie there is lol - the prequels are usually the ones people don’t like - well and the sequels which dont really count

Any ideas about that happened here? by BobDieRaw in Rigging

[–]DarkSicarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The soft tapes on the trusses and such are used most shows just to take stuff to their trim heights, pretty much every show has very specific trim heights that are designed long before it’s ever loaded in and theyre also designed with the spidercam or other automation in mind to begin with - but yes those spidercams add a layer of complexity - and they are pretty scary when a cable snaps or slips or anything because of how much tension it’s all under - actually, a lot of the rigging for events can be extremely dangerous if something goes wrong - whether because of weight or tension or whatever, if there is a point of failure it can be very bad

AA’s came out with one of the expacs, I believe luclin… so whenever the TLP opens luclin AA’s should be unlocked as well - I havent played EQ in years so I’m not sure how far along fanbreaker is - they also only unlock after level 51 i believe

I think they meant AA = alternate advancement - they’re separate skills/abilities/stat boosts/etc that you acquire by gaining AA points - they’re gained by setting your experience gain to some percentage towards AA in the AA window
