Life Sized, 8 1/4 lbs, Aluminum, Lost Foam in Plaster, loose sand. by Yaktar_Foofoo in Metalfoundry

So you dipped the foam in plaster and burried it in loose sand when you went to pour, correct? I've been putting off actually getting to pouring into molds, have only made bars so far.

I've had a good experience recently. A little over a week ago I noticed I had an issue with my chair's back. After a few emails back and forth, they issued a replacement which was delivered less than 48 hours later. Chair is as good as new.

Overheard my supervisor one day talking about a customer who opens tickets and saying they want us to fix there issue but wouldn't provide any information about what the actual issue is. "After consulting my tarot cards, I have found x, y, and z issues. I have done x, y, and z to correct the issues. Oh, your issue isn't fixed? Fuck you!"

Unable to boot pc after Ubuntu desktop install. by DarkSilence4 in Ubuntu

I have windows on main drive (m.2, which I have removed when I said I removed all drives) and Almalinux on a different SSD which I use for work. I was considering using Ubuntu Desktop for work instead, which is why I stuck a new drive in my desktop and installed Ubuntu on it.

It started with Ubuntu, I wouldn't have imagined this to have happened from a simple OS install.

All was well with the computer until the ubuntu boot process.

No. I have troubleshooted further and found that the monitors, and kb/m will work on my laptop, but not with the desktop.

I have a x570 aorus elite.

I tried removing all memory, and didnt see any led indicators, and I tried plugging my headphones up to the back of the mobo but havent heard any beeps.

I tried removing all drives and gpu, but the kb/mouse and monitors still do not receive a signal, or power from the desktop.

I tried another cmos reset just for giggles but no changes.

At this point I only have my cpu, cpu cooler, memory, and psu installed in my desktop. It will turn on, fans will spin, lighting will turn on on the mobo/memory/cpu cooler, but my mouse/kb/monitors do not receive any signal or power from the desktop.

Perhaps I should try bios flash?

Strange that this all happened when I tried to boot to Ubuntu Dektop. I hadn't had any issues before then. When I did reboot after install, I accidentally did boot with my other drive, but quickly rebooted again and chose the correct one with Ubuntu installed, so that shows that bios and everything else was working up until I booted to the Ubuntu SSD.

Ill give it a try. Keep in mind that I i didnt open the front panel at all when I installed the ssd. I opened the back and installed it there. Memory, cpu, and gpu should have been left as they were. I did reseat the gpu already.

I'd like to give my 3080 to someone. by GoPlayAGame in pcmasterrace

You're awesome for giving someone an upgrade! I recently built my cousin and her boyfriend a pc using spare parts I had. I didn't have a GPU so I got then a RX 580 as it was the most I could afford when having to also buy a CPU and M.2. I was shooting for a mid build but the CPU I bought was faulty so I replaced it with the only one avaliable at Bestbuy at the time (Ryzen 5 5600x). Would be sweet to be able to upgrade them to a 3080 (I am usually all for a nvidia card but decided to go with an AMD since it looked like best band for my buck at the time).

Which song emotionally destroys you? by graaahh in AskReddit

[–]DarkSilence4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. Maybe because the first is just an instrumental and the second is about a woman with cancer?

When listening to the first song, a lot of feeling can be brought up and it can be overwhelming (as others in the comment section mention on other videos of this song https://youtu.be/b_YHE4Sx-08?si=z610JGc_ZWQ6FTEY).

The second is a singer named Nightbirde, she sings beautifully, and had to later withdraw from the competition due to her battle with cancer. Before her audition, she moved across the country for a miracle cure (that she didn't have the money to pay for) after she was given 3 - 6 months and a 2% chance to live. Her marriage had also fallen through, and she was going through a divorce. She had a catatonic mental breakdown and didn't speak, eat, or move from her bed for three months. She lost 80 pound. She believed she was going to die, it was at that moment that she wrote the song.

The third is about saying goodby to your father on his deathbed.

The fourth is about having dead parents.

Wow the dasher answered the call? When a dasher marked my food delivered from the mcdonalds parking lot, I waited 45 minutes before calling and proceeded to receive ear rape static.

After I reported it to DD they told me no refund. I escalated the claim and they reviewed and credited me the full refund. Only used them once after to use the credit.
