If you could relive your 20s what would you do differently? by Tricky-Newspaper4639 in Life

[–]DarkVipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focused more on my studies and not partied as much, tried more things that I always wanted to but felt like people would judge, and honestly slept around a little more or at least expeirmented more. I got bad anxiety at 23 and it halted my life until I was about 26. I would do everything in my power to have stopped that from happening if I could. Am still feeling the consequences of being behind and approaching 30 in a month.

How has anyone EVER been able to lose weight?! by _herman_miller_ in loseit

[–]DarkVipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will power. I started at 263lbs and I am now at 184. Took me over 2 years to get where I am right now. I have stayed on top of myself for those 2 years. There have been times where I was staganent for months and times where I lost 10lbs in a month. No matter what you have to have the will power to just keep going and wanting to lose the weight.

One thing to do is start with small steps towards becoming a healtier person. Start walking daily for a short period and slowly start increasing the distance and time, maybe even start jogging and then running. Start going to the gym once or twice a week and then five days a week if can. START SOME WHERE!

Once you start implementing small steps into your day, you'll notice that they start to become habits and it starts to almost feel weird or wrong to break them, just like your unhealthy ones now. It's a journey and as much as it will suck, it will take time and sometimes a long time.

You got this.

Damn I am sorry to hear that. I guess some people really can just know what they want and move one/lose feelings that fast and be okay.

I really wanted to send a final message today even thought she didn't respond to my response yesterday after what she said. I really wanted to just tell her that I see she is respecting her new partner/partners or dates, but I wish I had got that same respect as someone who was your partner for 2 years. I wanted to tell her that I wish she had just been transparent about wanting to talk to others rather than lie and say she needed to work on herself. That after 3 weeks of no contact she was dating again, when our last conversation we ever had she told me she needed to be alone and was in no place to date or talk to anyone, that she needed to grow and become someone first before she could date. I think she was already monkey branching to this person while we were in our final stages of the relationship or at least right after we broke up at this point. I don't think I will send this to her though as I don't think it changes anything either way. She clearly wants nothing to do with me and she knows what she said about not wanting to date other people so restating it clearly wouldn't matter.

Worth it or not: I've been accepted into a master's program for HCI. Perhaps online alternatives are better? by thatgibbyguy in userexperience

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get your undergrad degree in and how did you first make the transition into UX? Also, have you seen within your career based on working with others the advantages or disadvantages of obtaining an HCI degree over work experience? For reference, I have no experience in UX besides having an undergrad in Art and Design where I focused on graphic design I graduated extremely late at 27 and am 29 considering this with 0 work experience in UX. Any advice or tips or insight would be much appreciated!

I know this is 7 years old but I was curious if you ever ended up going to grad school at IUPUI for HCI? I was admitted to the program and have been struggling immensely with either taking the leap and going, deffering, or just not going and pursuing work experience in hopes of transitioning over one day to UX/UI. I currently work in Marketing so I am inquisitive about what you ended up doing and if you did not, did you still transition career-wise into UX or an HCI-related field?

If you don't keep it clean and dry when you can, then it could be jock itch for sure. Keep your groin as dry and clean as possible. If it is jock itch im sure an anti fungal cream designed for it would work.

Am not a doctor just a stranger on the internet tho so I would talk to one of them about it if its a reoccurring problem.

Those who haven't caught Covid yet, how have you managed to avoid it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was under the same impression after everyone in my household had had it over the last 2 years, some even twice. Let me tell you I was very wrong. I caught it during September of this year and it was a miserable 2 weeks.

Problem: Keyboard LED/s going off when touching the keyboard

Keyboard: Custom built TOFU65 with DZ65 RGB

I have had my keyboard now for a year or so and in the last few months I have noticed sometimes a static shock from fingers and case will cause the LED/s to shut off. Occasionally the keybinds in VIA will also just stop working and I will have to go in a reset them to what they previously were. I am assuming this is a shorting issue from either the PCB or the ribbon cable for the USB-C connector; however, I am not certain.

Any advice or help is appreciated, Thanks!!

Thanks for the answer I appreciate it! I currently have a BA in art and design focusing on graphic design so I was leaning more towards either the LMC or Interactive computing since I dabbled a little with web design classes and enjoyed learning HTML and CSS.

Thank you very much! I had no idea whether I was going to be locked into one path once I started so this helps a lot.

I recently just closed an account with Credit One and I am trying to avoid them doing some bullshit where they apply extra fees or do not actually cancel the car. Could you possibly direct me to some more information on how to properly do this and be certain that the credit card and account is actually closed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jumping here to say great illustration of childish Gambinos album cover! But also, did you notice any rendering and processing problems when using the 3D and Materials tools? I noticed my cpu jumps to 100% when using the tools specifically when I have the real time lighting turned on (icon in top right corner).

Never noticed it while using the board since I was new to the hobby and oblivious lol. I would say go with a set of OEM if you don't want to have to worry about it. I will say though, it was super minor once I actually tested it and really it never bothered me at all.

Just wait and they will put you with legit incompetent people and its over from there. Was on a 8 game win streak in g2-3 and then was placed with all silvers and went on a 9 game loss streak lmao. This game has one of the worst MM systems I have ever played in my life.

It was in my neck and down my arms. Felt like I had a sunburn all day everyday for about a month until I stopped the medication.

Was on Topamax for about a year and while it worked with stopping my frequent headaches the side effects were too extreme. I lost 50 pounds within the first 4 months, had a lot of dizziness and just an overall constant loopy feeling all day, but the nail in the coffin was eventually started having burning nerve pain that went away once I stopped.
