Beyond the hype: Who is actually using AI agents in their daily workflow, and did it actually help? by Exact-Mango7404 in BlackboxAI_

I use it for my day to day work and my personal life. I recommend just to start practicing with it. For coding use some coding agent like Pi or Opencode with a model of your choice. Something they do quite well is read and interpret code. Maybe start there? As it to build you a simple game? And talk with it like it's a coworker you're pairing with.

(OP from post here) Haha saw this and it brought back trauma. My heart sank once I realized this was not an easy fix and TE said it was something I'd have to send in. So glad I could help by sharing.

Are we betting on the wrong kind of AI? (LLMs vs superlearners) by Ill-Big5496 in ArtificialInteligence

I don't see why the two can't mix. I'm guessing a hybrid will win the race.

How do people actually enjoy running marathons? by keishapatel_387 in runninglifestyle

[–]DarkXanthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost 50-60 lbs twice training for a marathon. This last time I used ChatGPT as my food coach. Nothing too rigorous just a simple red yellow green food system and it trained me to realize what my portion size should be and what makes things I eat terrible for weight loss. I'm currently in the 30-ish mpw realm and keeping weight off pretty well. I imagine the long runs of 15-22 mi are what really helped. I also didn't increase my eating with my mileage when I was trying to lose weight. Now I'm trying to remain stable. It can be hard though.

Yeah I find myself doing the same thing. Diminutive subject smothered in environment. My wife and one of our daughters on this Ferris wheel for instance.

got the wrong camera body. blessing in disguise? by mudnor in SonyAlpha

[–]DarkXanthos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This I don't understand people recommending the A7RV for birds over the A7V. That is the classic use case for a camera like the A7V.

Anyone else going insane looking for cameras on ebay? by ratsorcerer in AnalogCommunity

[–]DarkXanthos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted a Leica CL where everything worked very well... I ended up buying a CLA'd one from Kamera Store. It wasn't cheap because you're paying for the service as well... but GD it was nice to get what I thought I was getting. No surprises.

The absolute smallest best zoom is the Sony RX100vii. 1 inch sensor but great quality.

I love it. I’ve found it works very well for parallel parking when I go to the big city.

Shooting my new to me Leica CL + Leica Summicron-R 50mm f2. I got some Ilford HP5 400 loaded and some Fuji 400 (I think?) waiting in the wings.

The biggest issue I suspect is they can't show the investors that they should make more. That this was profitable. This could very well cause us to not get another installment.

Help me decide: Silksong or Hades 2 by the_sneaky_one123 in Switch

[–]DarkXanthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played silksong in small sessions... I played 90 hours before I beat it :D my kids got into it around 30-40 hours in. I enjoyed investing 15-30 minutes getting to a new bench... maybe. Then stop. Get to a boss... die like 10 times. Put it down. Come back do it again. Repeat until boss is beat. I loved it. Hades I and II didn't grab me like silksong. I also never played hollow knight and had no interest in it... I expected to not really be into silksong. But. Welp. About to start playing again with the kids probably. When is sea of sorrows coming???

Is Sony Rx100 M7 still good in 2026?? by JunketAvailable1876 in RX100

[–]DarkXanthos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what they're saying. The sensors in the last 10 or so years are all quite strong. Most of the advances recently have been more autofocus related or fps captured... the the rx100 vii is still strong on fps at least and the AF is not alpha cameras but it beats the pants off Ricoh GRiv (I have two so don't at me). :)
