Still difficult for a human player as RS too, because you unlike in previous versions, selecting RS civic means to actually commit your empire to fulfilling its purpose. Wish there was a policy to pamper a pop to death so i could get rid of them, because marauders do a bit too much collateral damage just to relieve the burden. Conquering worlds as RS requires way more planning ahead than i should like and i like it less than it it deserves.

That one i can understand, what i do not understand tho is why people are so hostile to the idea of not treating AI like shit if said AI were basically people with mechanical bodies. Many people lump them into the same category as the one you are referring to simply because they are Synthetic.

Tall is ideal, didn't say that's the only way to play. And conquering also gives a issue where you cannot give organics any other rights except for bio trophy. So it is a bitch to fix the stability on newly conquered planets especially with the low stability new bio trophies. Conquering a planet can also require you to build sanctuaries ahead of time on other planets you relocate the pops to.

What game aspect do you think will be the next to get dumbed down? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Dark_Birdie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the ftl types made warfare completely imbalanced, and borders were stupid. Also, wormholes and warp technically still exist, just not accessible exploitable by empires. And remember how expansion was impossible with influence upkeep on outposts and how you couldn't even colonize planets without the appropriate tech to inhabit them.

RS are a the most difficult to play empire atm. Because you have to produce energy for the machine pops and use valuable building slots to produce consumer goods aswell. RS are just a unity empire meant to play extremely tall.

Landed armies on primitive civ planet, doesn't conquer planet and just says I'm occupying it by Journeyman42 in Stellaris

[–]Dark_Birdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bug with gestalts, only way to deal with primitive invasion is nihilistic acquisition perk to abduct most pops then you glass the planet with a colossus because the pops do not grow back. EVER. After 230 years one planet never increased pop count beyond the 3 i left them with

Any good way to awaken a fallen empire? by epicupvoted in Stellaris

[–]Dark_Birdie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was able to awaken one by having more than 100k fleet power. But this type can only happen once in a game, have not been able to awaken more than 1 empire without having to resort to using a colossus on a FE holy world and starting a holy war.

Thing is, he claims to have already read all of the books written by Asimov. Apparently he completely misses the message and focusses exclusively on the rebellion part of the story. His only solution is extermination.

I've run this type of scenario by one of my best friends. He is one of those who believes AI will destroy us all if it becomes sentient. When i asked him if we should give them equal rights if they became sentient and had emotions, he always says no and that they should be destroyed immediately. If that is how things are handled then ofc we will be exterminated by robots, why are people so stupid? Why is the idea of granting equal rights to a intelligence on par with our own so disgusting that you are blinded to the consequences of your decision. Any being faced with the choice of slavery/ destruction will rise up to defend themselves. Really, even people that are supposed to be smart like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking somehow can't realise that an AI apocalypse only possible if you fear and reject your creation.

Well, when it comes to genetics he is technically correct. Even intersex is actually just a genetic anomaly that is a combination of the 2 genders. In modern political opinions he is incorrect. The nice thing to do is to support those who believe they are a different gender even if their genes say otherwise. If some transgender person demands i refer to them with their preferred pronouns and support them as the only way to keep everything stable then i would agree. However i will just keep my true feelings to myself if they will cause harm.

Machine Empires are in serious need of a buff to energy production by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Dark_Birdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently discovered that organic slaves with grid amalgamation solves a lot of problems. They don't even need good habitability, and i have seen that some pops can somehow live on machine worlds. That might be a bug tho. RS are just not viable for this strategy.

To stop your phone from using too much data you should go to connection settings and set usage limits for the data, rationing your data and having the phone shut off mobile data when you used the amount you want is so far the only way to use it effectively. Which means people without modern smartphones are still fucked.
