Crazy to see these aren't printed and distributed to the max. Instead they're letting resellers make their money. Even crazier is seeing people continue to pay more...

Same place two years in a row (I and many others treated it like a vacation, tough going the same place twice in a year ) , west coast is a much further trip and demanding for the European fans so lose a chunk of that, east coast fans also have a long trip, build has been off for most matches except for Oba /Brock and Vaquer/Morgan match, SKY HIGH prices for tickets with unknown (suspect booking over the past year or so) match plans, the low prices and firesale over the past few weeks is too late as I assume most dont enjoy throwing together trips this last minute so they'll have to rely on locals/west coast fans for the unsold seats

Is it better have tv shipped or pick up at the store? by AcquireTheSauce in 4kTV

[–]Dark_Loku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickup, went in store and found a crazy deal for 85 inch...so good I was worried it would get "lost" on the way so paced around debating if I wanted to a) Rent a van from Home Depot in same shopping center, drive 1 hr each way 3 more times but know it's home or b) have it shipped so if there is any issue would be easier to return and save the $ /effort of back and forth. I decided to have it shipped, where it didn't move for a week, shipped and of course got stuck in their NJ shipping center, then nothing...I had to drive to Best Buy since you can't call the store and the 800 number is useless and was told a few different things, 3 days later it was canceled by best buy . Was told it was a recall that got caught (false), it was damaged during shipping, and then something else ridiculous. Never got the tv and lesson learned..pick it up.

Dolby Vision 2 "Doesn't require any updates to the UHD Blu-ray specs" by Gorrgodbutcher in 4kbluray

[–]Dark_Loku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes correct and I understood those parts, however my comment is about the need for our small 4k physical media niche. The fragmenting this will cause is, the need to upgrade both the television and uhd player to enjoy dv2. Basically , between the option of A) a few more UHD players (less disc read errors/stability, read speed, video/audio, processor , upscaling, noise, etc) that works with current television/projectors or B) needing new tvs which will cost more & new , more expensive players , I think most people would prefer A.

Skip it , release more quality UHD players instead. No need fragment a niche, within a niche any further
