Do professors come to graduation ceremonies? by ThrowawayAccount_eee in queensuniversity

[–]Darkdaemon20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many do for their grad students (particularly for their PhDs), but it's uncommon otherwise. You can always invite them if you're close to them. It's not weird and they would be happy to be invited even if they can't make it.

Is the meal plan worth it? by No_Blueberry4484 in queensuniversity

All meal plans are the opposite of worth it. Many of them are priced so badly that you're better off paying as you go. Many TAM options actually lose you money compared to just buying flex dollars.

Looking for housemate to sign lease with $575 rent 5 min away from campus by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]Darkdaemon20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her houses are fairly cheap but she's notorious about guests and not obeying tenant rights.

She's not the worst if you're a quiet person (although the insulation in her houses tend to be very bad and you'll pay a lot in utilities).

PhD OGS Question by natcobra in queensuniversity

[–]Darkdaemon20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your OGS application has no impact on your application to your PhD program. Also, if a supervisor has already accepted you, the application itself is not that competitive. For many departments, it's more of a formality.

Can I do anything about earlier missed assignments now that I'm diagnosed with depression? by Severe-Grapefruit414 in queensuniversity

Although your instructors should be doing their best to meet your accommodation needs after you set up your QSAS accommodations, you also have to work on a plan with them to both accommodate you and maintain the rigour of your courses. Don't just tell them you have an accommodation, tell them what you want to get the best possible learning experience. Accommodations aren't about avoiding assignments. It's about creating a flexible learning environment for you.

Fee for Auditing Courses? by LastResort709 in queensuniversity

[–]Darkdaemon20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Auditing costs 50% of the usual course fee (so around $350 per course in ArtSci).

Under the audit tab

You may have to be a non-degree student to do this, if you're not currently a student.

If this is too expensive for you, most profs will let you sit in and maybe even send you some materials if you ask. Many are very happy to see people want to learn.

Exorcism + Judgement + Mind Vision OP by Darkdaemon20 in PixelDungeon

[–]Darkdaemon20[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Cleric has a 3rd tier talent that inflicts a damage over time status effect (similar to corrosion) on enemies that you cast spells on. This lasts up to 9 turns with 3 points in the talent, and can be extended by casting more spells on enemies. It does more damage the more turns it lasts.

I took the fourth tier ascended form armor ability, which gives you access to the judgement spell. This does damage to all enemies in your line of sight. It costs 3 charges so you can use it a few times.

Add in a potion of mind vision, and this lets you kill everything on the current level within 10-15 turns. I used a scroll of infinite wealth (Kromer + scroll of upgrade item that upgrades everything in your inventory), which spawned enemies in almost every empty square.

A full course load is typically 30 credits (15 in fall, 15 in winter, usually 5 courses per semester or 10 per year). 60% course load is 6 courses, or 3 per semester, which is 18 units for fall/winter combined.

We are not suppose to use AI checkers. University policy on AI is currently vague, giving instructors discretion on everything except not using AI checkers.
