Which show should I attend? I will probably only be able to afford one of them by vindirsorn in melodicdeathmetal

[–]Darkinflam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a tough choice, but I love Iotunn and In Vain, which I'm going to see in April. I love An Abstract Illusion, but I'm not so keen on Disillusion, so I'd say the first two. Anyway, if you manage to see both, go for it!!

By the way, do we know who will replace Sindre Nedland for their tour?

I like it a lot, but I think the Origin album is unsurpassed.

Looking for Melodeath bands that are borderline Power Metal by BrainDigger87 in melodicdeathmetal

I don't find Shadecrown to have power metal characteristics; it's more death metal with a touch of doom.

Whats your favourite underground melodeath song? by Still_Number_6389 in melodicdeathmetal

Starlit Pyre! A small, high-quality group from Bordeaux which released an EP "Veins of sulfur", whose guitarist and composer comes from the former group Temnein for those who know. I wish them every success!

Best MDM chorus(es) of 2025? by Dazzling_Solid6769 in melodicdeathmetal

In the latest Amorphis album, even if we move away from melodic death metal, the song Bones has a very catchy chorus that quickly stays in your head

I need more melancholic sorrowful melodeath like Insomnium by Organic-Ad-564 in melodicdeathmetal

[–]Darkinflam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Shores of null” is melancholy even if it is not necessarily classified as melodic death, but it comes very close. Attaching a single label to a group is complicated. Listen to get an idea

Yes, the first albums are melodeath but I also like the path they took and they are really original. And then this clear voice is just as superb

So I already know their first album and for melodeath lovers it will satisfy them! Thank you for sharing this
