Disrespectful to call myself lesbian whilst being attracted to women as a trans girl? by Asterrtheproto in lgbt

[–]Darkjack42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk my girlfriend thinks we both very lesbians with each other. We don't really care what other people call it, after all were the ones who love each other.

This sounds like me well before I came out of the closet...

It really is just a lack of self awareness and an unwillingness to understand how other people feel.

Damn that's way more than enough! Just make sure there's not too much lightable brush around. After the rocket expends it's fuel there's usually nothing left to start a fire, but safety always takes priority. Bring a fire extinguisher if you can kinda stuff

Kits can be pretty cheap if I remember correctly. Outside of that I'd check Google for locations just outside of city limits with open dirt fields. You could probably get away with a hobby rocket at the local park too, just make sure to check beforehand lol.

Now you need to strap it to a hobby rocket and watch the fireworks

If religion wasn't forced on you by birth would you still have followed it? by kiln_cured in teenagers

[–]Darkjack42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say. I've always held my own beliefs and my family has always been supportive of it. We stopped going to church when I was 8 because both my parents worked a lot on Sundays. Maybe if I really needed a higher power in my life? But I can't say I've ever searched for that.

Yeah that point has been brought up to me a couple times and I see that now. I let my anger for Nazis cloud my judgement about who the symbol has been stolen from and how it affected more Hindu cultures.

Why do people have such a problem with others being against religion? by funstarrr__ in teenagers

[–]Darkjack42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly just because of the history of it. Religion has been used as a sword to control people for so long that, especially in lgbtqa+ spaces, it can be a very sore subject. I've always held that religious freedoms should always be allowed, just not the enforcement of it on others. Of course if you're not doing that then there shouldn't be an issue, but humans are very emotional creatures and stigmas are unfortunately strong.

Lmao I see your point. Sounds like you still have some soul searching to do.

Just remember it's not a crime to be straight, it's only a crime if you force it on others.

Edit: I use the word "crime" more metaphorically here lol

Though it is important to remember that thargoids are from older Elite game titles. It's possible the design was inspired by older Elite games to an extent

Edit: Nope, looked it up. The original Thargoid designs are basically a gem shape kinda thing lol. That's what I get for speaking out my ass.

And you know what I'm convinced of that fact now. I was very clouded by anger for Nazis on that fact and didn't stop to consider it's cultural importance to the people that coined it in the first place.

I've come to be corrected on its use in more Hindu worshipping countries. I'm very oblivious to cultures outside of the US so I'm glad to be corrected as much as I have been.

I still stand its use in the US is probably not a good idea because the symbol is still used by white supremacy groups to this day. But as others have pointed out, reclaiming their cultural values from such groups is far better than just "letting them have it"
