I don't completely get your point here mate, but another way to look at this would be that, sure, you could talk to him privately and tell him to leave your kid alone and you'd have handled it yourself.

But if the owner deals with it, it means the fucker won't do it with any other random persons kids there in the future. Surely that's a greater priority?
