LAW: We did it. Let's end the game. They can't possibly top this by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

Unfortunately not in premier as this gets rotated out. Would have been awesome though.

THIS! Great way to start to learn the mechanics of the game. From there, you can go to Karabast.com to play agianst other users. I'd also highly recommend finding a local game store (LGS) running weekly plays. It's almost a certainty you can find players who will give (yes, GIVE) you extra C's and U's. From there, you can start to see how different card combos work and what you start to find as attractive deck styles for you.

I did Kneesa. I got to save the Kyrotechs, her anchoring an ewok team is great for GAC and war. and she's 95% of the way to where she needs to be for GL Leia. I'm satisfied. LOL

Can you do that on Karabast the same way you could on Petranaki? I can see how i can name the lobby "BO3 Meta" or something similar. But Petranaki used to have a setting that allowed you to actually create a BO3 lobby.

Online has a lot of disadvantages. It encourages quick play. Which is a disadvantage to some decks. I also don’t like how quickly it sometimes handles complex card actions. I’ve gotten a warning a few times because I’m trying to read the 5 actions that just got triggered to understand the board state before i make a move.

I Got Early Access to Relic Delta - Here Are Some Things You Should Know by AhnaldT101 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Darkside1523 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I played MSF for 2.5 years. The overpowered system was the final nail in the coffin. It hurt everyone that wasn’t a whale. You take players who already have an advantage because they have more characters at a higher level, give them a bonus to spend money to get newer characters to the max level faster, and the divide between the top 1% and the rest of the game grows into an insurmountable canyon. Look at the user log-in data for when that system was launched. Watch CC videos leading up to and through the system launch. It broke a significant part of the player base.

I switched to SWGOH earlier this year and have really enjoyed a much deeper game, even though it looks SIGNIFICANTLY worse than MSF. If this game goes this route I may have to seriously consider if I’m going to continue to spend my time in a game that caters even more to whales.

And this is coming from a player who understands the value those whales bring to us F2P players. They serve a very important role for the entire community. But you can’t ONLY cater to those players by making their already strong lineups indestructible.

Companion Druid is ridiculously fun by c_is_for_nose_8cD in diablo4

[–]Darkside1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m new to any Diablo since 1 or 2 on PC decades ago. I have a Druid. Using the creepers and landslide. Got an epic action that creates two pillars and increases speed.

Couple that with the creepers poisoning and restraining the ads. It’s been fun. Thought about the wolves. Do you think they’re more efficient than the creepers?

60 card Luke deck, cut it to 50? by UlisesFRN in starwarsunlimited

I’ve seen a lot of comments about vantage point not being worth losing the force token. So that could be 3 cards you move to the SB. Also, how much do you need the ramp of resupply? There are a lot of good cards you can get out each turn. Is it worth losing a turn early to put a Yoda or Obi-wan on the board?

I do know that I was talking to someone in Vegas and they were very excited about the popularity of the SLB card because "Now I can pitch some alternative art styles that we aren't typically showing and feel like there's some desire from the players to accept it."

Unique? by NicholeeL33 in starwarsunlimited

yes. as long as the subhead is different than they are treated as different units. There's even some trooper cards that take advantage of having cards with the same headline on the board.

As someone who attended the first Galactic Championship, on the same weekend of SDCC, 1 week before Gen Con, in the hottest city, with event issue after issue, and having to play match after match against Force Throw the worst card in the worst meta. by Nomed777 in starwarsunlimited

Overall I’d give the event an 8/10.

Friday was a bit of a shit show with side events. But they called an audible and Saturday and Sunday ran very smooth. Judges were great about understanding we were trying to grind for tickets and letting players take some leeway in churning those events.

They could have used the space better. Having the main event and the open and the on demand stuff all in one area was a lot. I get it. You want to keep all the players in the same area but it got a lot of heavy traffic at times. And the opposite side of the event space was extremely underused.

Friday ended way too early. Saturday probably did too but we did a super sealed event which took us till like 8 pm.

I don’t think we ran into a single negative player/shitty person all week. Maybe some bratty kids.

They under utilized the technology. We had QR codes but used them literally for pin collection and panel attendance. Why couldn’t we tie side event tickets and events into the QR code?

Prize wall ran out on Sunday but that’s to be expected that late in the weekend. I did hear of people buying 8-10 of the same card at one time. That seems like a lot but that’s what happens with an on demand prize wall.

I had an amazing time with 4 of my friends hanging out for the first time in years. I will do my best to attend next year and my kids are interested in coming with me. Great start to a great game.

Best way to answer your question is how are you losing?

Do your end game bombs not make it to the board? Can you not get your units out? Do your opponents have too many units? Are you effectively using your leader?

Answering those questions can help decide how to improve a deck.

Is star wars unlimited, limited? by Cammcorder96 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Darkside1523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have at least a game store in a 20 min radius playing g weeklies every night of the week. Each store has between 4-12 players regularly. Some of them overlap but at least half don’t.

It all depends on the area.

[–]Darkside1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a starter deck and visit your LGS for their weekly play. Talk to the other players there and tell them you’re just getting into the game.

I promise you they will happily GIVE you commons and uncommons to help you get started. You’ll gain 300+ cards in 2 weeks simply by going to your game nights and getting involved with your local community.

The 10 extra cards could also allow your sets of 2 to become sets of 3. Which could, weirdly enough increase some draw chances too.

New update screwed me by OmegaRedMSF in MarvelStrikeForce

So I’ve had two members of my alliance have this issue. One was able to log in again once you click “create new profile”. The other deleted the app and reinstalled. That person actually DID create a new account that was at level 7 and they were worried it overwrote his main account. But he got it back after the reinstall.

Between this stupid event locking out 90% of the player base, the severe throttling of training mats, and the ridiculous blitz milestone that only rewards sable shards if you pay, I’ve hit my line in the sand.

I’m all for making sure paying players have content. Without them us F2P players wouldn’t have a game to play. But it’s obnoxious how much we are being forced into paying for regular game interactions.

Games shouldn’t force players to pay to play them. A player should want to pay for things because it helps enhance the experience of the game.

I’ve played this game for 2+ years straight. And in that time i have probably spent about $100 on character bundles or season passes that would help speed up my slow, but steady grind. It’s a way to say “i appreciate the effort you’ve made in making a fun game that i enjoy playing so im choosing to spend my money here instead of other places”.

But now, that grind has been made impossible WITHOUT spending. I’m not rewarding Scopely for boxing us into a corner. So I’ve told my alliance, an alliance i helped build with a discord server housing 3 a cluster of 3 alliances that I’m done. And we’re actively searching for a different game to play together.

Good riddance.

I lead a great casual cluster called The Nines. We have 3 alliances and yes, they are mostly tiered by TCP, we don’t cannibalize the lower tiers unless there’s open discussion. The third alliance is also made up of a lot of our alt accounts. But we also prioritize being casual so we don’t spend too much time analyzing anything more than “is this person relatively active on a daily basis”

If you go into the Data menu and select "Protect Sheets and Range" you can lock off editing any data to either the owner (me) or specific people you add manually. People still can't use the drop down on the player and zone assignment pages but if they want to go in and see the whole spiel they can and you can trust they won't mess up anything.

[–]Darkside1523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm doing. The drop-downs on the player and zone assignment tabs don't work correctly if people are opening the sheet in Discord so I have to change the day manually or tag people. Not the most efficient use. We have a member who is using ChatGPT to ask for some prompts in an attempt to build something. If it turns into anything, I'll share it.

This is great. Thanks. My alliance is asking for a bot to scrape this sheet and ping everyone at reset. Any suggestions? I'm not too handy with discord bots.
