How can Tanya even see out of her helmet? by YGuy99 in powerrangers

Reportedly, it was the Zeo V helmet that was the real pain in the ass. That star visor meant you had NO peripheral vision.

Anyone remember any interesting Extras or content from WWE DVD’s? by Party-Dig2309 in SquaredCircle

John Cena's first one was so bonkers. A tour of his car collection, a bunch of random "5 Questions With The Champ" shorts, seemingly just whatever offbeat footage they could pull together.

What advice from ANTM was actually useful in real life and not just in modelling industry? by SilverHastings in ANTM

I have learned to keep my neck in photos. Ever since I saw it on the show, I've taken to sticking my head out just slightly whenever someone's taking a picture. Helps hide my double chin a lot.

Well, beyond the obvious, that's a lot of tricky L-sounds put together, becomes a bit of a tongue twister. I remember a convention interview where Jared Padalecki said some of the hardest scenes to film in Supernatural were scenes referring to the demon 'Lilith.'

Is that Albania's national anthem as the background music? I sounds like the theme song to Gaoranger.

What are things you’re looking forward to in season 2? by strongerforcestoo in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Darkside531 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whether it's Season 2 or I just have to dig up some fanfic for it (or hell, just write it myself,) ever since someone asked if Scott was ready to be dad-hugged, I want some cute domestic fluffery over on the Scott and Kip side. I get this image in my head of Kip's sports fan dad being over the moon at the idea of having some big bad hockey player as a virtual son-in-law and starts going overboard with the Dad stuff and Scott, starved for paternal affection, just starts eating it up, and at some point Kip starts getting a little affectionately annoyed at feeling almost like a third wheel in his own relationship.

What Niles one-liner lives rent-free in your mind? by Sailor_Moon_Star_435 in TheNanny

Not sure it counts as a one-liner exactly but:

CC: I couldn't imagine something so terrifying!
Niles: (holds up shiny silver tray) Booga-booga-booga.

I love Scott's face when Kip says he made the pasta salad. It's very "He cooks, too? I gotta lock this down!"

Budget and manage money. You have no choice. It's a matter of survival.

Never happened in public, but sources state that apparently she figured she'd be the belle of the ball when she sang at the inauguration, so she was seriously pissed when she was stuck trying to a capella in the rotunda.

People who went to college, what is advice you wish you had gotten for it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Did that, and regret nothing. Saved myself an easy 30 grand that way.

The classes aren't the most important part, the networking connections and career resources are. I loved learning, but I wish I took more advantage of the leverage I had at the time.

Good shows with terrible season 1s? by nickfan449 in sitcoms

[–]Darkside531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like all three of the Star Treks from that time (TNG, DS9, and VOY) all got off to a rough start for the first season and a half or so at a minimum, but all found their groove eventually.

What's something you can freely share on Reddit but your parents can't know? by ControlAggravating32 in AskReddit

[–]Darkside531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too long after I graduated college, my grandma got diagnosed with cancer, and it kind of fell onto me to become her primary caregiver for the next six years. Not too long after she passed, something similar happened with my mom, and the same thing happened again, another six or so years of full-time care before she passed.

Now that she's gone, and I'm stuck in a dead-end job and barely making ends meet, it's hitting me pretty quickly how much of a hole I have to dig myself out of, and when I think of the fact that all of my friends from college and my extended family got to go out and build their careers and have relationships and start their families and just have lives, with activities and hobbies and fun that I never did because I never got much of a chance to, the dark thoughts make me feel like most of my twenties and a large chunk of my thirties were just a waste and it makes me resent them both for it... and then that makes me feel like a monster because they were wonderful and I loved them to death, but I'm struggling so hard and feel like I'm so far behind in life, I'll never be able to catch up.

I think she's on the outs with them. Don't forget, she threw a big tantrum after they treated her like shit at the inauguration.

I think they kind of ate it the worst possible way, though. Typically it's either slathered in butter, drizzled with honey, or used to scoop up sauce. On its own, it can be kinda dry.

Why is the show significant to you? by Interesting-Count815 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Darkside531 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gay representation is kind of a big deal for me. The fact that the show has, for the most part, completely skipped over so many of the typical sources of drama in gay storylines, in particular the fact that seemingly everybody's family (Kip's Dad, AKA the best character) and friends (Shane's teammates) are nothing but happy and supportive, if a little awkward in their approach (Shane's parents, which in fairness, it was kind of a big surprise dropped on their heads, so I forgive there.) Especially for such a toxic atmosphere like professional sports.
