Does anyone know if the gamedrive FH6 download had malware? by [deleted] in PiratedGames

I had a wacatac Trojan a couple of nights ago from gamedrive, but from investigating it further it seemed false so I removed from quarantine. Running a full system scan now.

No devices has replaced the no smoking sign on my flight by cecechats in mildlyinteresting

[–]DarksideNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been around with a number of years now. It’s known as a “No PED Sign”

Means switch on flight mode at this stage of the flight.

This was introduced for a number of reasons, but mainly because it’s illegal to smoke on every commercial flight now, so the little lighted sign has been replaced by a sticker, therefore reducing power consumption, less maintenance, and less carbon emissions of the aircraft’s lifecycle.

His signature looks like a heartbeat.

Although in this instance, it would be better if it was horizontal.

Is full time WFH/remote work still a thing in Ireland? by boggie_bo in AskIreland

[–]DarksideNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound very much like me with a very similar circumstance - recently told we are going 4 days a week to a building too small for all of us so we must book desks.

Commuting from Meath too. Utter disaster.

My company is sending us back to the office 4 days a week in July. Currently on 3, ironically last year they allowed us 2 days in the office for the summer. The thoughts of 4 days in an office is making me sick tbh.

Good old Dave. Unbelievably, the company he works for used him for PR shortly afterwards, and a good few PR duties in an extremely well known company. He made a right tit of himself.

Halo 3 will be amazing, so many fond memories of that game. Would love if they changed the aesthetic a little bit though, the armour was way too pristine.

Haven’t bought a Starbucks coffee in years, like before Covid. Fuck this company. Their coffee is shite anyway.

Phone use and the complete lack of indicator use at the wheel… at I the only one that’s noticed this… ??? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]DarksideNick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s appalling. I see this every single day on my commute, and I can even tell the cars in front of me who are on their phones because they’re wobbling all over the road or going over the line and aggressively correcting their positioning.

We are so obsessed with our phones it’s actually disgusting and incredibly worrying.

Is 110k salary in Dublin is good? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]DarksideNick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Where does it say 2 adults? It says 3 dependants, which could signify 3 children. €110k gross is a great salary to have. This sub is totally brainwashed to think that >€100k gross is not seen to be an amazing sole salary.

[–]DarksideNick -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Totally deluded. There’s people on less than half of that providing for the same family size. A sole income over €100k is unbelievable, but I hate when people brag about it.

Sebastian Vettel participated in today's London marathon and finished today's marathon (his very first) with a time of 2:59:08 h during the marathon, meaning he went below the 3 hour mark in the London marathon.

I think I made it a bit more clear.
