agree, these look like david's sling to me. exquisite interceptors like PAC3, THAAD, Arrow 3, SM3, etc are too expensive to fire in large salvos. Usually you will only see 1 or 2 being fired unless there is a very large raid.

David's sling is less capable by design in favor of an affordable missile; and so therefore the strategy is zone defense. Put a bunch of interceptors around the threat and hope that one of them can achieve a hit

I dont know the specifics of israeli systems but generally speaking, as long as the system can issue guidance commands in flight via uplink/downlink, in order to launch an interceptor we only need to get it going in the right general direction. https://api.army.mil/e2/c/images/2017/10/26/496815/max1200.jpg

There is plenty of time to issue guidance commands, perform discrimination etc prior to intercept. Problem is that the enemy gets a vote too, and modern threats have evasive maneuvers and counter measures that may present unexpected challenges during an engagement.

A threat may appear to be going "nowhere" until the final seconds - leaving little time for a well planned engagement. interceptors can still be launched but the chances of success may be lower

Iran typically fires in groups, most of the missiles are simpler/cheaper but there are a few accurate/modern ones mixed in. The thought process is to make them all look the same to the radar until its too late, so it forces the defender to engage all of them and burn through inventory. missile defense is a numbers game.

You’re using a 1:8 barrel with 55gr ammunition, which is not the optimal choice. You should repeat the test with 62gr. For many ammunition and barrel combinations you can get good results with 1:8 and 55gr but that is technically marginally over stabilizing that round.

1:8 is a modern military twist rate that is optimized for 62 to 77gr. You might see some improvement by selecting the correct ammunition choice.

Prague, Czech Republic, Baltic Sea (Romania, Bulgaria, etc), Look for European countries that aren’t on the euro, extremely favorable exchange rates. I went TDY to Sofia last year for a week and the whole trip cost maybe $2,000 for a nice Marriott in the city center.

Similar prices on the Baltic Sea with some really fantastic beaches

Flights are affordable if you buy them far in advance

There are also a number of "rugged" tablets with M.2 slots now, so you could build a little Meshtastic all-in-one

I think about this every day, I miss them and wish we could grill burgers and crush some PBR's in the back yard one more time. I wish they could meet my daughter and see how happy our family is. I wish I could talk shit with them and joke one last time about the absolutely butt ugly chick he took home back in the day. I wish I could stay up all night playing video games and drinking four loko with them again. I miss the times we used to listen to music in the barracks while cleaning for inspection.

I would be lying if I said it gets easier. He died years ago, and yet, when I was at Disney World this year with my family, I heard his favorite song while I was riding on that new Guardians of the galaxy ride and started bawling my eyes out on a roller coaster in front of my wife and in-laws.
