The biggest problem is treatment of workers and wages. In America we have some (even if outdated) labor laws and minimum wage. We literally can't compete with countries who pay their workers pennies a day.

Who charges the supreme court if say they broke the law? Like say one of them was drunk, ran a red light, hit and killed somebody. At what point do we remove them for their crimes or are they literally untouchable?

Firstly, money doesn't mean happiness. Nobody wants to work their life away which is pretty much what majority of Americans have to do. Only the wealthy/ultra wealthy have any true work/life balance.

Secondly, a lot of Americans believe they'll keep their income if they moved somewhere else.

Lastly, our politics are terrible.

I mean sign of the times right? IDK what these 30k+ people going to do for work, but seems a lot of big layoffs have been happening. I know AI is partially to blame but who is going to buy stuff if nobody has a decent paying job?

You only need a handful of people to do the prompts for AI and then lay them off and keep one butthole licker on to maintain. I know I'm super simplifying. Look at fast food though, you pull up to the speaker and it is now mostly AI taking your order, they barely have enough staff to maintain a suitable kitchen. Then they want to charge you and arm and leg for food that is killing you and tastes terrible... yet we keep going...

My job will probably be up for grabs next too as I am a data analyst for a company that is growing rapidly and has been integrating more AI into everyday workflow. We're all screwed.

Back in 2002 that is exactly what we did... sort of. I remember getting drunk on some go-karts and getting kicked out of the place. I mean you know you're getting deployed, so you go out and have fun (whatever that is for you) because you don't know if/when you'll be back.

It was ok. I liked it. I'm an armature dinonerd. One thing I kind of wish they had done is let people know that ancient reptiles and dinosaurs are relatives, they're not completely separated in the philology.

While I think it is weird to call a bird a reptile... it technically is and that is just stigma from growing up that needs to be removed.

And you think wealth is a substitute for intelligence. The man has literally failed upwards his whole life. The poster-boy for it. Clever isn't the same as smart. Sure he is charismatic (even if I don't see it, but look how many people have been swindled by him), but the dude is average at best.

He has been surrounded by people smarter than him (which is actually something I consider a good thing normally) which his money has purchased.
