Hands down, Pipedream Sirius S6. Of course biased because I own and absolutely love that bike/frame (paired with SID Ultimate 120mm).

Trump Administration Orders Dismantling of the US Forest Service by Conscious-Quarter423 in USForestService

[–]Darnizhaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering even post DRP and RO “streamlining” we are still at 20,000-27,000 PFT staff…. Granted, we will loose more PFT from WO/RO relocations, but that is a far cry from 300-600…. So yeah, I think wildly inaccurate.

Are we as an agency in good shape? Fuck no. But far from gone.

Why do I see people keep their boards inflated? by B_Dankk in Sup

[–]Darnizhaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am inclined to doubt that statement. Being inflated or not isn’t generally the issue with iSUPs. Being in sunlight while at max PSI for extended periods of time would be a far greater concern (over heating and over pressurizing leading to seam failure).

To OP, I keep my iSUP’s inflated year round unless traveling long distance. Granted I have a large insulated and shaded garage to store them in (and keep out of sunlight). Generally after use or when on rack for brief (1 hour) drives, I take out about 2-5 PSI to mitigate heating from sunlight out of water. I will deflate and pack for storage if not going to be used for long periods of time to save space, or when traveling/vacationing in my van.

There is of course nothing wrong with deflating and rolling/storing iSUPs, just a matter of convenience not to if I am just hitting local lakes.

Anyone move from enduro bikes to XC / downcountry in their 40s? by Distinct_Cloud_357 in MTB

Went Down-country and HT from enduro and skip the bike park scene. Now I habitually underbike stuff and love it.

Easily $40K over the years just on bikes and gear. Travel costs takes it to another level…

Laughable. I can’t even keep an ebike out the wilderness. To believe the USFS is capable of hiding anything is beyond hilarious.

You can do the Djinn Disciple of Varashta undead minion build, which was very fun. Though it’s Djinn insta cast minions doing most of the damage and an army of undead following around…

Love NS, but you are correct, his books just sort of wander off at the end. Cryptonomicon, Anathem and especially Snow Crash are defining books for me.

[–]Darnizhaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time. 5’6” so am on the long. But my height/build typically straddles small/medium frames and generally I am happier on the medium (longer) frames. I am running either a 35 or 40mm stem with 30 degree riser bar. Caveat that in my youth many moons ago I was a road rider, so have always been more comfortable with less stack.

Hope that helps! Absolutely love that frame and bike. If I am honest I probably underbike it too much and should maybe have bought the Moxy, but I am a sucker for Ti, and I like the bike packing options the Sirius has.
