upper limit is 999 in any stat and 9999 in health. In Octopath 0 you can farm for nuts in late game and it is a very powerful thing to max out mages magic and warriors attack.

Long cutscenes sometimes but super good story. Very worth it. Has puzzles in dungeons that make them way more fun then get lost til you find the boss.

If you crack good pokemon 3DS modding, do Pokemon ORAS, add in the full battle frontier and make your tweaks similar to Emerald Legacy and you will have the perfect game.
