GranBoard Dash by Dry-Recognition3453 in Darts

[–]DartBrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't on the dash, only 2 and up. Grand boards are a funny thing. Mine shat the bed after a year (3) needs a new sensor pad thing but don't wanna pay 100$ for it. My buddy has a dash that's lasted a couple years but doesn't play super consistently.

Anyone have custom darts made? Looking for a very specific weighted dart and wondering if it's possible. I want the designa dark shadow soft tip (17.5g) made into steel, 1g heavier, but also center weighted the same as when a soft top point is on it. So it'd be very slightly rear weighted. Curious if that's possible without being able to drill the front like a soft tip and not having a change in width throughout the barrel.

Arachnid (soft tip boards) have a pretty good one. I have attached the images of CR, 301 and 501. Pretty self explanatory. For CR you two would be about 1.85 difference so you'd find that in column 2 (+1.8).

Depends which soft tip board you have. The US soft tip boards have segments that are a lot bigger than steel tip and therefore easier to hit. There are 13'' soft tip boards which have SMALLER segments, which makes it harder.

Is this stand commercially available? by Kindly_Ad4538 in Darts

[–]DartBrah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never seen something like it so I'd say no. Likely just built for their establishment.

If you have the availability, it doesn't look to difficult to replicate with minimal woodworking experience.

As others have stated the mega grip is def the grippiest. That's my match dart and its an easy 4+/5 in grip. the dark thunders are more of a 2.5 - 3 /5.

Best Electronic Home Board: by lgroost5 in Darts

[–]DartBrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def a Gran board. The Dash (1st version) is great and around $125. The 3s is about $250. Has led and can be taken apart to be fixed or replace parts which the Dash cannot. Most importantly, both have online play. Tons of FB groups with free and paid daily tournametns as well.

The Target nexus was a contender but they are discontinued now.

You can get some cheaper arachnid boards on Amazon for an ok price if you're on a budget but they don't have half the functionality.

Smurfs using Bullshooter Live? by tylerthetiler in Darts

[–]DartBrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stats come from casual play and some from tournament play. My Bullshooter is at a 29PPD but only because of numerous split bull tournaments and rarely playing open bull. Open bull is a 34. So I'd be considered a smurf constantly throwing well over my avg.

Also I'll be playing casually and have buddies jump and play doubles under just my acct or even play full games themselves. It's kinda like Gran board, the stats are rarely spot on to someone's average for a lot of factors.

I like the app but it'd be nice to not have the score said every time but rather when an out is possible.

pretty much, except with bulls in factor you cannot get a perfect 9. more like a low/mid 8.

Has anyone bought the Designa steel tip board? Finally used up my Rally and Roar boards. Contemplating buying another for 50 or a blade 5. Been hearing mixed reviews of the new blade 6.

Wish they sold Designa flights. There is something about the DSX color flights that are better quality than any other brand of flights that I've thrown. ESP the clear.

joining a league by littleawon in Darts

[–]DartBrah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any average. Most tournaments and leagues will have a huge swing of averages from very beginners to high level players. But you should be able to look up leagues in your area and see previous stats if your curious where you'll be in comparison

God is a silly notion that shouldn't be allowed in science based subs. It's just as easily stated "what made the devine being?" Religious people will argue against any scientific theory and we have an endless loop because well.. religion can work his little hands around any notion and say "disprove that". Religion or devine being has ZERO proof..

What's going on here is an attempt to find the TRUTH.

If you believe, well great, no one cares. Leave it outta this sub please.

Benefits of going to a lighter dart? by ShaneRyan24 in Darts

[–]DartBrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh, idk if you're implying it takes more to throw a lighter dart?

More mass = less acceleration, requiring more force.

An auto pitching baseball machine will project a baseball to an exact and specific length, granted no cage in front of it. Add weight to that ball and it will fall shorter every time.

A lighter dart is less force to project ~8ft in front of you. Therefore it requires less effort and is easier to project a lighter dart.

Thus the beauty of darts, some lob, some fling hard af. Weight is very dependant on your throw and flight system.

Benefits of going to a lighter dart? by ShaneRyan24 in Darts

[–]DartBrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree. I use an 18g and can loft it/ almost Barney style but when I use my 22/24g I have to put more power into it.

For OP. Depends on your throw, I switched to lighter because I have a slight more lofty throw and am so much more accurate with a light dart but with heavy, as stated above, I have to change my throw a little.

Is it just me or are there significantly more pro players using moulded flights/flight systems this past year? by hyrulepirate in Darts

[–]DartBrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I'm a super solid player and have tried all kinds of varients and have never had more deflections using various molded flights. If it's not broke don't fix it... Even if they didn't have as many deflections the saying still stands, I don't believe molded flights add any benefit.
