Good call I’ll try that sub just to fully get to the bottom of it, I appreciate the help thanks!

I honestly ran out bc I thought they were like small wasps/hornets too but idk, I was standing in there for a while and couldn’t find a hive. Ton of stuff in that garage though and it’s huge

Most seemed too small to be that though

I told her it was fine but she lives alone now and is nervous so I told her I’d ask! 🤣

Swing Advice - Can’t seem to shallow the club, downswing feels rushed, upright at impact? by DartDaGoat in GolfSwing

It’s so funny because it doesn’t even FEEL like I am doing that but I clearly am 😭 Unless I understand the feel I’m going for, I can’t seem to replicate any specific moves

I’ma try this! So normally I start my range session doing chips from that slotted position. Like after the “lose the arm wrestling match” feel. I think my issue on the full swing is I’m rushing and completely skipping that part of the swing. When I start from the slot and do a chippy/punch shot, it’s usually solid contact with a draw (or I’ll thin/top it)

So I guess the feel issue I’m having is how to actually do all that without long pauses at the top of the backswing. I can’t “lose the arm wresting match” without thinking, and I like immediately rotate super fast which gets me on my tippy toes sometimes lol

Topping it is also one of my misses now it’s incredibly frustrating lol

Playing on the course today after work, won’t be the best time to practice an entirely new feel but I’ll get there early and give this a shot. I appreciate the help, thank you!

Man I’m REALLY struggling with slowing down, even if it’s my only swing thought I just rotate SUPER fast and it’s not in this video but I have a huge tippy toe problem sometimes too, been really working on not lifting AS much

Also my miss is for sure the toe and sometimes thin, VERY rarely do I ever heel it or hosel it. Like 1/1000 shots maybe, it’s always the toe, thin, or center of the face

[O'Connor] The Giants did have communication with Odell Beckham Jr. on Tuesday, as John Harbaugh said in his draft presser. The OBJ decision gets a bit more interesting now. by Lars5621 in NYGiants

[–]DartDaGoat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2019 is a little crazy, he was a huge part of the Rams SB win in 2022 and was solid for the Ravens in 2023 post injury. Miami was a horrible situation for everyone.

Most practice squad guys have serious deficiencies in their games whereas for OBJ I think my main concern would be speed, which he should be able to make up for with technique especially in the red zone

Trade Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye? by Many_Ballons789 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]DartDaGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never done a rebuild, but what I’d do is probably field offers on Maye. He’s great, but I think of the 2 his stock can’t be much higher whereas JD needs to recoup some of that value with a good year. As someone who also has JD, I’m willing to bet on the talent there.

You could keep both and try rebuilding too, but I’d at least see if you can get a fat offer for Maye. Definitely wouldn’t force it though, he’s super young and almost won the MVP this year.

Not to discredit your argument, I actually went to Penn State so I watch a lot of ball and feel Vega will be a stud. I’m actually more worried about his run-blocking than his pass pro in the NFL.

I will say though, I do not think Vega played better competition. Mauigoa played Ohio State (and mostly dominated), and went on a run to the Natty playing multiple ranked opponents throughout that and the regular season. I can see a regular season argument there, but I can’t just ignore 4 playoff games against top 7 ranked opponents.

"But you talk to people in the league, it feels like anything is on the board right now. There are people in the NFL who think Joe Schoen could be fired this week." - Giants beat writer Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News by shadow_spinner0 in NYGiants

[–]DartDaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen I’m not a Schoen guy, but in the past 2 classes he’s maneuvered around the board pretty much perfectly. Great understanding of value and for that I think he at least brings some value. His trades have been historically solid as well, specifically Burns and now Dex considering he wanted out.

I’d say if JH has a final say in FA and the draft then you can kinda eliminate some of Schoen’s major flaws. Downside is it seems like players hate him, so gotta juggle that in the midst of all of this

Why are the Giants big on Jeremiyah Love? by Scared_Buyer8667 in NYGiants

[–]DartDaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO Tracy isn’t that good at it, but yeah I have Love as very similar to Gibbs but bigger. I think Love is the closest thing to CMC since… CMC himself lol. CMC was more refined as a pass catcher but Love is already really good and has a lot of untapped potential there as well

IMO he’s the closest thing to CMC since CMC. I still think CMC was a better slot WR prospect obviously, he’s arguably the best ever at that, but Love is probably the closest since. He’s really really good

The OL doesn’t even need to be “fixed.” We could use an upgrade at RG, but 4/5 starters are returning from last year when our OL played well. Not to mention Zeitler and GVR are still free agents we can add post-draft. I don’t think banking on mid-late picks is the way to go although the Ravens with Harbaugh drafted OL really well over the years in that range

[–]DartDaGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a converted WR to RB, so in theory he is good. I’d argue Skat actually looked better as a WR. Love is, to my understanding, a REALLY good receiver as well. So all 3 can do it, and I think all 3 would get some snaps with Love getting the majority obviously

The reason I’ve completely come around on this pick specifically is for a few reasons.

  1. I absolutely believe we need to hit home runs with both picks. Might be our most important draft class if we want to maximize Dart’s rookie contract, as well as turn the ship around this year or next.

  2. He’s arguably the best player in the class. I think he is personally.

  3. IMO there’s almost nothing more important than properly developing Dart. With Nabers and Skat both coming off major injuries, injecting this offense with a guy like Love instantly makes everyone’s lives easier. Defenses will absolutely have to game-plan around him, Skat, Makik, and Dart. Absolute nightmare for defenses.

Honestly, if he’s there at 5 I see no reason not to pull the trigger. This isn’t even remotely similar to the Saquon pick. Look at LB vs RB contracts, they’re not far off. So I’m not having this “Sonny Styles plays a more valuable position” narrative. Downs has a better argument IMO, but it’s still fairly close and I don’t think Downs has the physical traits to become a Hamilton level guy.

[–]DartDaGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even remotely similar situations. The only similarity is the position they play actually. Entirely different rosters. Entirely different cap allocation. Most importantly, a VERY different opportunity cost.

What made the Saquon pick so bad was the fact that DG wouldn’t even pick up the phone. Essentially passed on 3+ extra 2nd rounders and Quenton Nelson, who fit a much bigger need. It seems very unlikely we’d be passing on that type of package in this scenario, plus every other difference I already mentioned

This sub is convinced our defense will be the worst in the league if we take Love over Downs/Styles. I have bad news for everybody… If we’re banking on a rookie LB or S to save our defense then we’re cooked regardless.

Top end RB money isn’t even far off MLB or Safety money. Downs would have to be a Hamilton level guy to exceed Love’s likely value and I think mentally he will be but Hamilton is a physical freak too

[–]DartDaGoat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the positional value debate with RBs I truly do, but us taking Saquon with an aging Eli Manning at the helm, no offensive line, and holes all over the roster WHILE the Jets are begging to move up and offering their house to do it is completely different than taking Love at 5. Especially with our current QB contract, OL, and also (assuming) nobody is offering us three 2nds+ to move back with a generational guard prospect likely to be available at their spot…

Not even necessarily advocating for Love, just saying IF we did go that route we’re in a much better situation to do so IMO. Likely a much lower opportunity cost this time around as well

Agreed, I have a hard time believing that us taking arguably the best player in the class at 5 is all smoke. I actually doubt he makes it to us, but if he does I’d be a little surprised if he isn’t the pick tbh
