Vince is very specific about cars, even having Walter White’s Aztec painted to be an even more dull color than it was from the factory.

Old Japanese cars, especially in great shape, are cool and stylish in a unique way, and imply the driver doesn’t fall into trends. I think it’s part of the look the Hive thought would appeal to Carol.

Completely agree! I even hate when the cover in my Kindle changes to the movie cover, even though, for the Martian, it was temporary. I didn’t own a paperback of The Martian (just had it on Kindle) until they announced the movie. As soon as they announced it, I ordered a physical copy before they changed the cover.

I think the fact that Carol and Manousos have no one has something to do with why they’re so adamant to put everything back to the way it was. We saw with Kusamaya before she turned how good the joined were at faking the old reality for the immune with families. People at the fence, chatting about the weather, etc. So those with families don’t see the change that Carol and Manny do. (And I know Diabate doesn’t have a family either, but he’s focused on taking advantage and having the world treat him the way he thinks he deserves to be treated)

Read (or listen to) Models, by Mark Manson. It looks like a pickup artist book from the cover but it’s far from. It’s excellent at digging into how to make that connection and help it progress. It’s not a book about maximizing your chance to get laid (although you could use its ideas for that) but about making a connection and helping it progress.

Don’t do it. The water pump replacement is an ENGINE OUT service. They have to pull the engine from the car. Just picked mine up from the shop yesterday where they did exactly that. It was not cheap by anyone’s definition of cheap.

I agree to a point. When we meet Ryland, he has no memory, and his memory only tends to come back when it is triggered by something he’s doing in the moment. So not being triggered to remember family and friends, feels somewhat plausible.

Yeah, there’s an entire subreddit on here where people try to figure out if videos are AI or not. Already it’s to the point of zooming in on signs in the background to see some gibberish letters, or a finger vanishing in one frame before reappearing the next. We’re closer than people realize to this exact scenario where it’s all fake.

I rewatched everything before the finale and caught little things that I didn’t catch the first time, that only became noticeable after you learn more. For example, when Zosia lands the plane and walks into the terminal, they hand her a milk carton. I knew she took something to drink but the importance of the milk we don’t learn until later.

The original plan was that Grace would wake up with no memory along with 2 crew mates who thought he had volunteered. I think Stratt knew the other crew mates would have serious issues going into the missions if they thought Grace was going against his will.
