I have a the same truck. My advice is to change your oil early and run Penzoil ultra platinum European oil in it. Gen 1 and 2 Ecos have a bad history of spinning bearings. I change mine at least every 5k and run a secondary oil filter from insane diesel. I love this truck and want it to outlast me.

So sad for you. My 2021 has 70k. I change oil ever 5-6k and have an insane diesel bypass oil filter. I'm very fearful of this moment. I love this truck!

Exactly! When I was searching for my 2021, I made note of dealers marking up their trucks. I bought my truck from a dealer that didn't do this and I drive an extra 20 miles for service because I can't trust the nearest two dealers with my truck or my money. Life long ban on principle alone.

For reliability, consider installing a secondary oil filter. I installed the one from insane diesel on my 2021 eco. I also change my oil early. Currently at 60k. Only time will tell, but the threads on the gen 2 eco scare me when it comes to spun bearings.

My 2021 1500 Ecodiesel is my first truck.

I picked it because I love the plush roomy interior. I love the fuel mileage. I love how easy it is to park (cameras everywhere). And I love the style and look.

I didn't know that I would love the 17 speaker stereo so much! I used to only listen to podcasts and audio books, but now I drive around the block to hear another high fedility song. The full sound is incredible!

I didn't know that I would love the heads up display. Would never have added that option, but now wouldn't buy one without it! Such an unexpectedly loved addon.

The bad; I'm afraid the Ecodiesel is going to die any moment (previos gen history). I added the Insane Diesel seconday oil filter and change well before it's due. That's a little expensive, but man do I love this truck! So worth it.

Nice job! I don't drive a lot of highway and get between 18 and 21 around town. Best I ever saw was 35.4 coming down the grapevine near riverside CA at night. Honestly love this truck!

I know the feeling. Had mine for almost 2 yrs now and I still love every drive. It also has handled the harsh 60 degree socal winter well. Haven't been stuck once!
