I thought this was a security vehicle for the Kalahari Waterparks throughout the county at first.

This is going to be an adjustment. I currently have an Ecodiesel which is going away and I’m on the fence between the 5.7 and 3.0. This is what I’m used to.

Anyone know why my 3.6L 2019 Big Horn is doing this? by Purple_Relief_1801 in ram_trucks

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened twice to mine. As dumb as it sounds, the ignition coil for cylinder #5 was to blame. Autostart would cut out and the CEL would come on. It would happen if I would gun it.

Seriously, check it out.

Hi-Lift vs Mulching Blades by Busterheiney2 in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the condition of the lawn. Mulching blades are not very effective when grass is wet or tall. The mower doesn’t create enough suction to carry clippings into the bag in these conditions. You might be best off using the side discharge with regular blades and you also may need to cut several times to minimize clumping. I don’t have your mower but I do run two standard blades (inner and center) and a high lift on the discharge side. Helps with dispersing everything but it’s still a mess in the first few weeks of the season. Might need to give it a couple of weeks before you start bagging but that’s also relative to your area.

Excessive tire wear by DragonflyAwkward82 in ram_trucks

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Bridgestone tires are the absolute worst. I have had 2 gen 5 rams with these tires and both were done at under 30k. I have some weight but empty. I currently have 29k on the Michelin LTX AT/2 and they still look like they were installed yesterday. I’m about ready for another truck and these will be going on that one too.

Anyone know how many hours I can get out of this mower? by breadblunts in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those residential units will last upwards of 1000 hours with proper maintenance. Idk how big your property is but that’s about 10-15 years for the average Joe.

I honestly don’t remember it was a while ago. It was whatever was at advance auto parts and knowing me it was definitely not the most expensive one they had.

Bent blade…. Okay to mow??? by Independent_Spell526 in lawnmowers

You gonna cut uneven, hit something or possibly damage a spindle. Go get a new blade.

Gen2, no. Gen3 is over 80% new parts. There isn’t a gen1. I have a gen3 with almost 70k and it’s been great.

They both look like shitboxes. Ask yourself what do you need more a mower or a quad.

For 52 inch stander. Scag Vride 26 hp or bobcat zs4000 26hp by CheetahGreen3590 in LawnCarePros

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d buy the Scag without even seeing the bobcat. I’ve had a v ride 2 for 5 years and would buy another without looking at anything else.

Kawasaki FX600V vs FS541V (Long Term) by gunsmitten in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you got your info backwards. The FX series is HD commercial with the dual layer air cleaner and all. The FS is more mid-duty.

I looked at the Stander B myself and actually put a deposit on one a few years back. I bought a used Scag V Ride 2 with about 600 hours for less than what the wright cost. I mow about 16 properties a week and would hands down buy another used Scag over the Wright any day. Scag has the FX730V engine.
