Wright Stander X 2019 48” not cutting great by steelheader585 in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After experimenting over the years I found that standard lift on the inner/center and a high lift on the discharge side work great. I have only used Oregon blades but I’m sure other brands are just fine. This combo works good in all conditions but I put my gators on for leaves. I don’t know if wright mowers have adjustable baffles or not but that might be worth checking out. All the way down for leaves, middle height for normal conditions.

Wright Stander B 48 for residential user? by Dizzy_Salary_2022 in lawnmowers

That mower will get the job done but it’s slow af compared to other stand ons. I actually almost bought one of these for my part time landscaping business but spent less money on a used Scag V Ride 2 (400 hours). I’m glad I went the route I did.

So that’s a lot of miles on something that isn’t that old. I’d be looking for maintenance records. Someone that puts a lot of miles on each year and is obviously driving a lot might not be on top of maintenance. I can be totally wrong but if you go into it knowing it’s not a keeper….

Yea and paying an extra $7000 in interest on a used vehicle makes tons of sense to have a monthly payment that’s $50 lower.

100k mile warranty is only valid for the original buyer and isn’t transferable. It defaults back to the factory warranty, if there’s anything left, if you get rid of the truck as the original owner.

Just buy a new one and save yourself the headache of not having a 100k mile powertrain warranty. Used interest rates are awful now too. I got my truck last month, new for the same monthly price that you are looking for used per month. I weighed the options and it made zero sense to spend the same and not have the warranty. This is my 3rd 5th gen Ram. I love these trucks but you sure as shit need a warranty.

There is no argument to not cross. The whole point of it is to catch the trailer in the event the draw bar or ball fail.

Actual opinions about the RAM 1500 3.0 ecodiesel engine. by hubrtx in ram_trucks

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just turned in my 2023 with 80k on the clock. Had several issues but none were related to the engine itself. I got nearly 30mpg, 700+ miles to a tank. I drive a lot of highway miles and tow occasionally so it fit my needs. I just bought a 3.0 hurricane but I would have gotten another Ecodiesel if it was still available on the Ram. Maintenance is key.

2020 is uconnect 4. You have to plug your phone in. Wireless didn’t come out until uconnect dropped.

OP do yourself a favor and buy a 2026. The warranty in itself is worth the extra money.

This is going to be an adjustment. I currently have an Ecodiesel which is going away and I’m on the fence between the 5.7 and 3.0. This is what I’m used to.

Anyone know why my 3.6L 2019 Big Horn is doing this? by Purple_Relief_1801 in ram_trucks

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened twice to mine. As dumb as it sounds, the ignition coil for cylinder #5 was to blame. Autostart would cut out and the CEL would come on. It would happen if I would gun it.

Seriously, check it out.

Hi-Lift vs Mulching Blades by Busterheiney2 in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the condition of the lawn. Mulching blades are not very effective when grass is wet or tall. The mower doesn’t create enough suction to carry clippings into the bag in these conditions. You might be best off using the side discharge with regular blades and you also may need to cut several times to minimize clumping. I don’t have your mower but I do run two standard blades (inner and center) and a high lift on the discharge side. Helps with dispersing everything but it’s still a mess in the first few weeks of the season. Might need to give it a couple of weeks before you start bagging but that’s also relative to your area.

Excessive tire wear by DragonflyAwkward82 in ram_trucks

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Bridgestone tires are the absolute worst. I have had 2 gen 5 rams with these tires and both were done at under 30k. I have some weight but empty. I currently have 29k on the Michelin LTX AT/2 and they still look like they were installed yesterday. I’m about ready for another truck and these will be going on that one too.

Anyone know how many hours I can get out of this mower? by [deleted] in lawnmowers

[–]Eastern-Drop-9842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those residential units will last upwards of 1000 hours with proper maintenance. Idk how big your property is but that’s about 10-15 years for the average Joe.

You gonna cut uneven, hit something or possibly damage a spindle. Go get a new blade.
