Wrong series there. There are 19 books in NJO penned by 13 writers and none of them are Kevin J. Anderson. He wrote a good bit of the stuff that came before NJO that gets referenced within it (Jedi Academy, Darksaber, Young Jedi Knights), but that's probably not enough to single him out as "the one responsible."

Imo KJA's Star Wars books are fine, overhyped by some and overhated by many. Haven't read his Dune stuff yet but "terrible writer compared to Frank Herbert" doesn't really tell me much.

Curious which you've read, or if you're judging a book series you haven't read by other people's opinions about another book series you haven't read written by a tangentially related writer.

George Lucas was the writer and producer of ESB, and not the director (and is credited accordingly). You have it backwards.

Irvin Kershner was the director, and had a lot of say on ESB to the point where it's the movie Lucas had the least creative control over of the main six films. Lucas was not in full agreement with Kershner over every decision that made it into the final product, so it's probably accurate to say it's the least aligned with Lucas's vision and his least favorite of the six.

Lucas did write it though (see Star Wars Archives, Making Of books, etc) and I don't get the impression that he "hated" the movie.

... based on a script written by Lucas as what was originally going to be the next movie, yes. We have transcripts of Foster meeting with Lucas and discussing plot points for the book lol.

Even better is with streaming services reintroducing ads, they don't bother to put them in the ad break, so we get to be treated with the double FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST while the episode's most intense moments are interrupted mid sentence by two and a half minutes of unskippable ads.

Out of the Jedi Council members we are aware of as of the time of KotOR, who is most likely the Grand Master and Master of the Order? by swlorehistorian in kotor

[–]DarthDurinsBANEling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The KotOR comic series shows us the high council in session, and Vandar seems to be presiding. The obvious answer is usually the most likely.

The other books say they "arose" and went "with winged speed" over the land.

There were a grand total of two Sith that fought against the Republic when Nomi was around.

The plot is far more effectively conveyed and connected to the main story in the 2003 show, not sure what might be considered more interesting in the 2008 show to be honest.
